When I founded Renewed Spirit Home, I knew I wanted to glorify God with the gifts and talents He entrusted me with. From the ground up, I wanted each brick in the foundation to be based on my faith and my relationship with my Heavenly Father. Renewed Spirit Home is built firmly on the foundation of my faith. It is also an expression of gratitude for the gifts and talents He has bestowed upon me. I

feel truly blessed that in His perfect plan for my life, He had me arrive at this moment - creating decorative furniture and original works of art, helping other artists find success on Etsy, and inspiring hearts toward Jesus, all while navigating all things motherhood. Things have certainly changed since I first started sharing my journey, my testimony, and my adventures transforming furniture. I now have four beautiful boys, Elijah, Jeremiah, Josiah, and Caleb. As my family grows, and I evolve into the person God created me to be, this platform evolves and grows with us. I always share from my own heart, perspective, and personal experiences. I try to be as authentic, transparent, and genuine as possible as I feel the best way to touch people is with our truth and allowing ourselves to be vulnerable. In this season I find myself deeply rooted in my journey of faith, my growing family, my love of transforming, refinishing, and customizing furniture, creating original works of art, and helping other creatives find success. All of which, I hope to share with you here. My hope and prayer is that you will find fellowship, encouragement, support, and maybe a little inspiration while you are here. Today, for the first time in a long while, I sat down and made art again.
Teaching has filled my days (and my heart) in so many beautiful ways, but somewhere along the way my brushes, papers, and ideas quietly waited for me to return.

These little mixed-media pieces is going in our bathroom — nothing fancy, just layers of texture, scraps, botanicals, and a reminder that creativity doesn’t have to be perfect or planned. It just has to be expressed.

I’m learning that coming back to your art after a long pause is its own kind of healing.
It’s gentle.
It’s grounding.
It’s a whisper of who you’ve always been.

✨ A New Season, A Renewed Spirit ✨

After 12 years as a stay-at-home mom, I’m stepping into a new chapter—back to the classroom! I’ve accepted a Special Education teaching position at the school my three younger boys attend, and it truly feels like a full-circle moment. The schedule, the support, the leadership—everything aligned in a way that only God could orchestrate. I’m so grateful (and yes, a little nervous!) but mostly excited to walk through this open door. 💙

While I return to teaching, I’m not leaving my creative heart behind. I’ll continue to tap into my passion for art and design both in and out of the classroom. I've been working quietly behind the scenes on a home decor line for Renewed Spirit Home, and I'm thrilled that some items are now available in the Etsy shop, with more to come soon!

In addition, my family and I recently launched a second shop, Darling 6 Designs, a space filled with unique, fun Darling-designed apparel, gifts, and collectibles. Both of these projects are close to my heart, and I’ll continue growing them slowly and intentionally as time allows.

As I begin this new teaching journey, I was encouraged to create a classroom wishlist to help me build a warm and engaging space for my students. If you feel led to support or share, your kindness would mean the world. 💛

When you can support another artist, you absolutely should. I was so proud of Chloe when she stepped out of her comfort zone and published her first book.

She’s a wonder and has always inspired me simply by being herself. She’s authentic to herself and doesn’t seem to ever waiver from that. I will forever be a fan.

Her book, Better Than New, is available on Amazon. It’s Chloe wrapped up in a beautiful binded book. Absolutely beautiful photography and helpful content for upcyclers and refinishers at any level.
