One of my favorite parts of teaching is seeing what everyone creates.
I love seeing projects come together in class, but I also love seeing what happens after class - the finished bags, the quilts, the creative fabric choices, and the projects that take on a life of their own.
That's why I created Glue & Stitch Makers, a Facebook group for sewists, quilters, and bag makers to share their makes, celebrate finishes, ask questions, and encourage one another.
Whether you've taken a class with me, sewn one of my patterns, met me at a market, or simply enjoy making things, I'd love to have you join us.
Come share what you're working on - I can't wait to see what everyone is making.

The FIRST Glue & Stitch pattern is officially here and honestly, the second one is right around the corner. ⭐️

The Pop Star Zip Pouch was designed with total beginners in mind. If you’ve been wanting to try sewing a zipper but weren’t sure where to start, this pattern is for you. Every step is explained clearly with detailed instructions and plenty of photos to guide you along the way.

What many people don’t know is that this pattern is rooted in my own sewing story. About 10 years ago, I took a Learn to Sew class at Joann’s, and the project was a simple zippered pouch. That little project gave me the confidence to keep going, and eventually led me down the path to teaching, designing, and building Glue & Stitch.

I think most people are intimidated by zippers, but they really shouldn’t be. In fact, if you take my Learn to Sew class at the studio, this is the project we make. It covers a lot of foundational sewing skills that carry over into future projects, and it helps take the mystery out of zipper installation right from the start.

No complicated techniques. No overwhelming construction. Just a fun project that builds confidence while teaching skills you’ll use again and again.
If you’re an experienced sewist, it’s a quick and satisfying make. If you’re brand new to zippers or bag making, it’s a great place to start.

You can snag your copy of the Pop Star Zip Pouch pattern as a digital download on my website.

Newest patchwork project: a Pascal Case for my laptop.

This is the latest pattern from , and I knew it would be the perfect blank canvas for all the colors I love together. I adjusted the size a bit to fit my computer, and it turned out exactly how I hoped.

My favorite feature might be the zippered pocket inside for cords and accessories. It’s one of those details that makes the case feel really functional, not just pretty.

And yes, I absolutely used some of the good tags from my stash on this one (some of which I just ordered from ). The little sardine patch was a shop hop find from and was too perfect not to include.

I’d love to make a few more of these and play around with different closure options. I’ve already got a few ideas brewing…

I’ve spent the week organizing and filling bins for Clover Market on Sunday! This is my first outdoor market of the season and I’m hoping Mother Nature plays nicely. ☀️

This Crescentwood Crossbody (pattern by ) is coming along for the ride. Finished this one up recently because I can’t get enough of this mystic fable print!

See you Sunday in Kennett Square, 10–4.

Well, this was a fun surprise…. My quilt took home 3rd Place in its category at the Brandywine Valley Quilters show this weekend! 🥉It always feels a little vulnerable entering work into a show, especially when it’s a project that pushed me outside my usual style. Seeing it hanging among so many incredible quilts was exciting enough, so receiving a ribbon was the icing on the cake.

A huge thank you to for the beautiful quilting. Her work always elevates my quilts, and this one was no exception.

Pattern by .

Here’s what I wrote on for my entry: Stepping outside my usual color palette, this quilt was inspired by a photo that immediately gave me a strong modern retro vibe. I leaned into the bold geometry and warm, nostalgic tones, and was pleasantly surprised by how perfectly the backing coordinates with the front. One of my favorite details is how the lines run off the edge, and I carried those lines into the binding to keep that sense of movement going, like it keeps going beyond the frame.

Finished up another Lucy Train Case by . I used patchwork from one of the new Warp & Weft charm packs on the top and bottom, plus some leftover Warp & Weft woven fabrics I had been saving for the sides. The inside pocket is a leftover scrap from a shirt I made last summer. The texture and color in these fabrics just make every little patchwork combo feel so good. 💙

Also, can we talk about how satisfying a double zipper is on a train case? So much room for sewing supplies, travel bits, or all the random little things that somehow end up floating around in a project bag. 😂

This custom diaper bag backpack was a fun make. Scrappy patchwork on the outside, water resistant canvas from on the inside, and pockets everywhere because diaper bags have a very important job of carrying approximately 700 tiny things at all times. 😂

Used the Making Backpack pattern by and had so much fun pulling all these fabrics together.

Needed to switch gears from a larger custom project for a bit and make something small and silly to get the creativity flowing again. So naturally… I made a fish eyeglass case. 😂🐟

This is the Fish Eyeglass Case pattern by and it was such a fun quick sew. Definitely a good scrap buster and honestly way cuter than it has any right to be. I already want to make more in different color combos.

The Glue & Stitch Block of the Month has become so much more than just making a quilt. 💛

Watching everyone’s Show and Tell quilts come together each month has been so special. Not only is this such a lovely pattern by , but seeing everyone’s creativity through fabric choices, color palettes, and little details has been one of my favorite parts.

I’ve also really loved making time once a month to get together, share progress, swap stories, laugh, and encourage each other through all the tiny pieces and seam ripping.

Here’s my progress so far! All the bunnies and bears complete! I love how proud they look holding their quilts. 😂 🐻 🐰
