Women empowering women 💪🏾!! Partnering with .girl this past weekend was a great experience. I got a chance to get a behind the scenes look at how “the magic happens” in the kitchen and shop spaces.

It’s not just the space…it’s the production system, the cleanliness, the team members all knowing the same best sellers of the week (at both locations), the company culture. Well done!!

Hello All!! It’s been a while and there are new, beautiful faces browsing NeilAngelo, so I want to re-introduce myself.
*
My name is Kathi and I’m the owner of NeilAngelo Candle Co.
*
I’m a nurse…6 years and counting. Survived through daily COVID patient care and social distancing from my family ❤️‍🩹 due to mandated restrictions. Fortunate to not contract COVID at all. God is good.
*
Started making candles in 2009…pillar candles 🕯 the old school way. Grabbed books from the library and Hobby Lobby…taught myself!!
*
Discovered that “I am creative!” and it changed my life.
*
Didn’t see many black-owned candle businesses in ‘09 (NONE) and became very discouraged.
*
Back and forth to college, in and out of loveless engagements for years.
*
Re-discovered myself and my worth. Began candle and home décor making again in 2018 (while completing the nursing degree).
*
Here, now…nursing, making soy candles, re-building systems, growing a team and eager to meet all of you!!
*
It’s My Pleasure to help you relax, reclaim your peace, revive your space and invigorate your atmosphere.

Supporting this awesome nonprofit org. for Sickle Cell Awareness was so rewarding yesterday!!
The KT-DTP Foundation founder birthed a passion for educating African Americans about sickle cell anemia following the tragic loss of a close family member due to the disease.

Sickle cell:
1) affects mostly African Americans and Hispanics.
2) happens when red blood cells in your body become sickle shaped and “sticky”.
3) The blood cells clump in the arteries blocking OXYGEN/blood flow to muscles💪🏾 , organs and tissues
4) this creates unimaginably terrible pain. The pain is sudden. There is also a lack of oxygen circulating in the body (every organ, tissue, muscle needs oxygen).
5) sickle cell anemia is a medical emergency and needs emergent care right away during a “crisis” or flare up
Knowing is half the battle.
What you know can save someone’s life❤️.
