Here’s the progress I’ve made on full-size gnomes. We call the minty guy Wrigley, and he’s home for crack fixin’. This new fella is about 60 carvings later. I’m still figuring out what to do with his hands/clothes. Maybe suspenders??

It’s always great to see your commissioned piece in its forever home. Thanks for the photo, Bruce! His main request was to have something strikingly visible (hard to do with a mostly black bird), and I love the way it turned out. I carved this out of a 4” oak slab, and the total height is just over the 40” he requested.

We’re carvin’ on the corner of MN 61 & 70 tomorrow through Mother’s Day. I have a fresh batch of cardinals, and you can tell when I’m doing gnomes again when my arm looks like this! There’s still painting to be done, ONWARD!
