Howdy granola goblins! I’m vibrating with joy to announce that I will be having my

✨FIRST✨

💫solo exhibition💫

this spring at the in Erie Pennsylvania.

“Natural States” is a love letter to the land. A curated body of work that spans 6 years of experiences in the varied personalities of National Parks from all corners of the United States.

This exhibition will spotlight different works which are not available on naturalstatescollective.com and explore the intimate process of lived experience as a fundamental component of the artistic process. “Natural States” will present a combination of final graphic posters as well as an exhibition of photographs which often become assets in those same print designs.

Beyond all of that, this exhibit is designed to remind all of us of the importance of keeping our public land in its natural state.

Opening Night for “Natural States” is March 29th. Hope to see you there!

Howdy friends! As we all finish the final mile of 2023, I want to share this wonderful news for all of us!

Thanks to all of your support this year, Natural States Collective was able to donate $1,060 to the National Parks Foundation making its TOTAL donation at $4,460

Oh oh oh and even cooler, this year in particular the NPF is matching donations x3 (today only) so if you’ve been considering making a personal donation, you could turn $50 into $150

These funds are crucial to keeping our public lands in their natural states. As park visitation swells, and our government allocates funds away from the Parks, the National Park Foundation supports trail maintenance, resources for volunteers, education programs, and infrastructure projects that our public lands so desperately need.

When I first started designing park posters, I was inspired that the original WPA National Park Posters were created to promote visitation and awareness of these incredible sites to force our government to act on their protection. It worked. Art was used to make a real difference. I never wanted to JUST design art prints, even now as I prepare to enter into my 4th year, I still operate under a broader goal of creating art that promotes preservation of these sacred landscapes.

Thank you to all you who purchased a print or a shirt from Natural States Collective which allows me to make this donation each year 💚 this woulden’t be possible without all of you.

Happy New Year, Granola Goblins!

Pittsburgh, I cannot thank you enough for showing up for your small businesses and artists. To witness so many creatives all succeeding, and to see that convention hall FULL of people all choosing to shop small was really a spectacle.

It was also a sincere joy to meet so many new faces, wheter you were stopping by to grab a shirt or a print or you were another artist saying hi, Pittsburgh has shown so much love this weekend.

Thanks to for giving artists a platform to succeed, thanks to for sponsoring myself and the other artists of the ErieMade Business Academy.

I’ll save the rest of my sap for maple syrup season, now go pick up some trash from your public park today, you degenerates.

✨That’s a threat✨

forever. 😀

OH BROTHER, do you think I have time for that? I’m literally just one fella with enough to do as it is, the last thing I have time for is sending annoying emails. I’m not like those pathetic corporations all groveling for your money like the bottom-feeding maggots they are.

When I do send emails though, they often have fun stuff like

📜 Sneak peeks at what new print designs/apparel are coming.

📜 Freebies

📜 BIG FAT DISCOUNT CODES ONLY AVAILABLE TO SUBSCRIBERS

📜 Also each email is now ending with an embarassing story from my National Park travels. So if you read the whole thing, you get some classic oversharing.

Plus, you get a pack of 8 National Park Wallpapers for your little dopamine machines.

All that just for typing your email adress in a little box. This is a no brainer.

Use this link to get to that little box.

Thank you so much to everyone showing up to support your small businesses lately.

Yesterday I was talking to the barista at the cafe I like to curl up and hide in, and they told me they were making a conscious effort this year to exclusively shop at local/independently owned businesses for their friends and families this holiday.

That’s an idea as great as these lakes 🥰

It's a great day to talk about a Ghost Town on the National Register of Historic Places.

St. Elmo, Colorado

One of many towns that emerged at the discovery of silver and gold deposits. In 1880 St Elmo was established as a mining town with over 150 patented mine claims in the area. At its peak, St Elmo had a population of 2,000, general stores, hotels, saloons and a vibrant community.

Like so many other mining towns that emerged around this time, once the mines were depleted of silver and gold, populations started to abandon the town.

After most of the town started to become abandoned, the general store owner Annabelle Stark and her brother Tony lingered on. Cut off from the outside world without plumbing or electricity, Annabelle stopped bathing and taking care of herself and the buildings left in their town.

There are reports that the hotel and general store began to smell like rotten food, garbage and to***co. Remaining locals started to call her “Dirty Annie.” She was known to walk around with tangled hair and a rifle at her side to protect the town.

Soon Annie and brother were the only two residents left of the town until they were both sent to a mental institution.

St. Elmo was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.Visitors today claim to see the ghost of "Dirty Annie" appear in the windows and roaming the empty streets still guarding the town she saw become abandoned and once called home.

A New Generation of National Park Artwork

The Save America Print Series represents a new chapter in the legacy of the National Parks; one in which the American People must be encouraged to not only visit and enjoy these magnificent landscapes, but to also revere and protect them.
