A lot of detailers focus only on products and techniques—but ignore structure.

That’s why they stay stuck.

Real progression comes from:

Learning a repeatable process
Understanding why things work
Getting hands-on correction with feedback

You can piece things together over years…
Or you can learn it the right way in a fraction of the time.

Training doesn’t just improve your results—it eliminates years of trial and error.

If your soap isn’t doing its job, everything after it becomes harder.

A quality wash soap should:
✔ Provide strong lubrication (reduces scratching)
✔ Lift dirt safely off the surface
✔ Rinse clean without leaving residue

Cheap or overly harsh soaps:

Strip protection unnecessarily
Increase friction during washing
Leave the surface harder to work on

The goal isn’t just to “clean the car”—it’s to clean it safely so you’re not creating more work later.

Better wash = better results before you even touch a machine.

Choosing the right soap can make a big difference.
👉 Comment “SOAP” if you’ve been trying to dial this in.

Most swirl marks don’t come from polishing—they come from washing.

If your wash process isn’t dialed in, you’re reintroducing defects every single time you touch the vehicle.

Here’s what most detailers get wrong:

Using one bucket instead of two
Not rinsing wash media frequently
Applying too much pressure with the mitt
Letting dirt sit on the surface before rinsing

A proper wash process should look like this:
✔ Pre-rinse thoroughly to remove loose debris
✔ Use clean, lubricated wash media
✔ Work top-down (cleanest to dirtiest areas)
✔ Rinse your mitt after every section

Washing isn’t just step one—it’s paint preservation.

Master this, and you’ll prevent more damage than you’ll ever have to correct.

Want to improve your wash process?
👉 Comment “WASH” if this is something you’re working on.

You can watch detailing videos for years—and still feel stuck, and maybe even more confused than when you started!

Why? Because videos show you what to do… they don’t teach you how to execute, adjust, and correct in real time. And, just because a product or process works in one scenario, that doesn't mean it's the best or safest option in ALL vehicles you come across!

Real progress comes from:

✔ Hands-on practice – Understanding how paint responds to your machine, pad choice, pressure, and arm speed. Paint hardness and thickness vary from one vehicle to another, and the depth of the imperfections will determine IF you can remove them, and what products to use.

✔ Structured processes – Following a proven system for compounding, polishing, and finishing instead of guessing your way through each job.

✔ Real-time feedback – Knowing why something isn’t working and how to fix it immediately—not after you’ve already wasted time (or worse, compromised the finish).

✔ Product behavior knowledge – Learning how a true advanced micro-abrasive compound with proper lubrication cuts, finishes, and reacts across different pads and paint systems.

At some point, if you’re serious about getting better, you need more than tips—you need guided experience.

That’s the difference between guessing…and knowing with confidence.

Too many detailers think more products = better results.

The truth?
You can tackle MOST of your heavier paint correction with ONE advanced micro-abrasive compound that you fully understand.

Here’s what makes a great compound:
✔ Efficient cutting: Micro-abrasives remove imperfections without overworking the paint.
✔ Superior finish: Proper lubrication and micro-abrasive technology keeps swirls to a minimum
✔ Versatility: Works across multiple pad and machine types, so you can handle different paint conditions all with one product.

When you learn how a product behaves and how to change aggressiveness through pad, speed, and machine adjustments, your results become predictable—and that’s when you start working like a pro.

If your paint correction results are inconsistent, it’s not because you’re bad at detailing—it’s because you don’t have a repeatable process.

Most detailers:

-Change products constantly
-Work random section sizes
-Use inconsistent pressure

That’s why one car turns out great… and the next one doesn’t.

Professionals don’t guess. They follow a system.
Same process. Every time.

That’s how you get consistent results—and the confidence to charge more.

Professional-grade results aren’t achieved by rushing or guessing — they come from following a proven process, every single time.

From thorough inspection to the right product selection, tools, techniques, and step-by-step ex*****on, every part of the process is critical to delivering a consistent, flawless finish — inside and out.

Consistency is key: skipping steps or improvising can compromise your results, no matter how skilled you are. Mastering and following a professional process ensures that every vehicle you work on meets the same high standard, time after time.

Training isn’t just about learning a skill — it’s about building the discipline and process awareness to deliver professional-grade results, reliably.

👉 Stick to the process. See the difference in every detail.

Professional results require the right combination of products used in the correct sequence.

Compounds remove deeper defects safely, while polishes refine the paint to enhance clarity and gloss. Compounding will always be your first step IF compounding is needed, and Polishing should almost always be a secondary step AFTER compounding.

Skipping steps or using the wrong combination can lead to incomplete or inferior results, haziness, or even paint damage.

Stage your correction like a professional, and the difference is visible — and lasting.

Don't forget the final protection step of wax/sealant/ceramic to protect all of your hard work!

Waxes with fillers and temporary protection products can create moderate shine and enhance gloss for a short while, but true gloss that lasts comes from properly leveled paint and refined correction.

True gloss that will stick around is achieved through compounding and polishing, not from applying a wax or protection product.

Proper process & control always wins over speed.

Speed doesn’t create high-end results — following procedures and using the correct technique does.

Understanding machine movement, pressure, section size, and product breakdown is what separates entry-level polishing from professional paint correction.

Understanding surface materials, product chemistry, agitation methods, and extraction technique is what separates basic interior cleaning from professional interior detailing.

Training builds this foundation!

Pad quality, pad condition, and pad selection all play a much bigger role in correction than most people realize.

Using the wrong pad can limit correction ability or leave unwanted haze.

Professional-grade pads are engineered for specific levels of cut and refinement, they are designed to be used daily in volume detail shops, and each pad has its own designed level of cut for a specific purpose...

Pro Tips:
-Knowing what each of your pads is designed for will lead to better results in fewer steps
-Using professional-grade pads will lead to higher labor efficiency and lower cost per job
-Replacing pads when they are worn out will ensure that performance doesn't drop as your pads start to deteriorate

If swirl marks keep coming back, the issue usually isn’t the polish used or the paint correction that was done — it’s the maintenance process AFTERWARDS.

Improper washing techniques, poor towel management, or dirty wash mitts and towels can reintroduce defects quickly.

To keep paint swirl-free for the long haul, you need to be methodical about how you wash your vehicle, what comes in contact with the paint, and how you care for all of your car washing supplies after you are done!
