Happy Labor Day from PGH Girlies Hikes & Exploring! 🇺🇸🥾✨
Today we celebrate the hard work, dedication, creativity, and contributions of workers everywhere. And here in Pittsburgh a city built on hard work and community that feels especially meaningful. ❤️
Today also has me thinking about how much I genuinely love putting in the work behind the scenes to grow PGH Girlies into a larger community.
This started with a simple idea: to create a space where women can meet new people, explore Pittsburgh and beyond, try new things, build friendships, and find a sense of belonging.
But an idea only becomes a community when people show up.
So THANK YOU to every single one of you who continues to show up. Whether you've attended an event, joined a conversation, participated in book club, commented on a post, invited someone new, shared an idea, or simply supported what we're building I appreciate you more than you know.
And we have SO much more to come!
More events, more exploring, book club, PGH Girlies merchandise, giveaways, new opportunities to connect, and plenty of other fun things I'm working on behind the scenes.
My goal isn't simply to fill a calendar with events. I want to keep putting in the work to build a real, growing community that continues to feel welcoming, supportive, fun, and personal as we grow.
So on a day that celebrates hard work, I'm especially grateful that this is work I genuinely love doing and even more grateful that all of you keep showing up to build this community with me.
We're only getting started, Girlies.
