Our Story
My life: Three boys, two dogs and a husband. Possibly a little insanity from it all, though I'd never change a thing.
But, the boys are now grown and flown. They're each at their colleges, and the nest is rather empty. Moose and Marsha (Moose is the St Bernard, Marsha the Peke-a-poo) are getting older, but so am I, right?
I spent the years raising kids and doing arts and crafts with them. Play-dough, finger-paints, making too many volcanoes (they're boys - loving to blow stuff up is in their DNA), and all types of science projects. We once made a giant replica of the inside of a cell using different color jello and raisins.
And so I find myself, in the middle of a pandemic, furloughed from my job, and missing the projects of when my kids were little. I began making candles. And loving it. We are candle-burners, and breaking down the scientific components of a good candle was fascinating. I learned why some candles just burn down the middle, eventually drowning out the flame, and others burn way too fast. And the more I experimented, the more I understood the path I was taking.
