π± Regrowing my spring onions, and a little maintenance tip!
Look at all this new growth! π
If you're regrowing spring onions in water and notice the roots becoming a little slimy or gooey, don't panic. I simply take them out, gently rinse the roots under cool water, give the jar a good clean and replace with fresh water.
I change the water regularly to keep everything fresh.
These have already given me some fantastic new growth, but they won't stay in water forever. Next stop is soil, where they can continue growing and establish stronger roots. π±
Such an easy way to get a little more from something that might otherwise have gone straight into the food waste!
