This textural design follows a square slowly becoming a circle, each stage captured like a single video frame and stacked atop the last, so that a long process is compressed into one form. Its meaning is that change is rarely instantaneous and it comes gradually, in small increments until it become something new. The layered edges form ridges like those on a tortoise shell, each line a record of growth. Corners soften one frame at a time finally becoming what it really wants to be, a circle.
