Acre will be in downtown St. Johns (in stall 197 on N. John Ave between N. Lombard and N. Ivanhoe Street) this Saturday, from 10 am till 6 pm at the . This will be our first year at the festival, which has been entertaining locals for the last sixteen years with musicians, artisans, makers, creators, food vendors, community groups, and more. , and will at our stand to meet neighbors (the forge is only 2 miles away from the bridge) and share insights about our latest creations.
According to Chopp, “We feel grateful to be a member of the community in St. Johns and wanted to create a tribute to a local landmark.” To commemorate our participation, Jamison has fabricated five custom Macrum chef knives with jade G10 scales he selected to mimic the iconic color of the bridge attached to black paper micarta liners. Each RWL34 stainless steel blade has a St. John’s bridge icon on the right side next to the Acre maker’s mark.
Each St. Johns knife is $400. Any knives that don’t sell at the event will be available online afterwards. In addition to the St. Johns knives, we’ll have a curated selection of signature culinary and outdoor knives from each of our makers along with our Acre AEB-L stainless steel blue and tan Richlite handled 7.25” Macrum chef knife. There will be cutting boards and fresh produce on hand to demo this knife and see for yourself.
