I FINALLY have a date for my surgery!!

In case you didn’t already know, I tested positive for the BRCA1 gene 2 years ago. It actually didn’t come as a big shock since I already assumed I had it due to most of the women in my family having died from breast or uterine cancer. So when my test results came back, solidifying that I had it, I immediately knew I wanted to get everything removed.

I’ve already had a partial hysterectomy in October 2019 and I originally planned to have my double mastectomy and reconstruction done last June, but of course COVID changed that. It has been a looooonng wait but they were finally able get me in! It feels good to finally have a date set for it.

I will be posting about this over the next few months so feel free to unfollow if you don’t want to hear about it. I know it’s a huge step away from bookstagram, but I haven’t used my personal account in years and I have so many wonderful friends through this one that I felt it right to tell my journey through here.

I plan to be completely open about this process and welcome any and all questions or messages so feel free to send them to me if you have any!

I can’t believe the new year is almost here! This year has gone by so fast and I am definitely ready for 2020 to be over.

There is only 2 days left before the shop permanently closes. I’ve manually adjusted all the prices to reflect the 15% off sale in order to allow all coupon codes from our rewards program to be used on top of the discount.
•
Even though I am so excited to get more free time to spend with my family and getting back to reading, I’m going to miss so many aspects of running the shop. But I will definitely be continuing candle making as a hobby so hopefully that will help 😂.

It’s finally here!! Our final restock!

I wish it was a lot bigger than it is. I planned to snag some more wax during a small restock but I missed them all. Everyone sold out in minutes 😭.

I have very limited quantities of these four scents, and I mean VERY LIMITED! Because they are so limited, please please please only purchase 1 item per scent in order to allow others to purchase them.

Everything will automatically be 15% off (added at checkout) except clearance so no code necessary!

I plan to start making my own cider in the next few months! Just for fun, but I’m really looking forward to it.

What are some of your favorite types of ciders?

I prefer ciders on the dryer side, but I do love ciders mixed with other fruits like peach and blackberry, as long as they aren’t overly sweet 😂.

2020 is almost over (thank goodness!) and our shop will only be open for another couple weeks before we shut down permanently.

I will be getting more wicks in soon and then I can use up the last bit of wax I have to restock some more retired candles. I won’t be restocking any permanent or seasonal candles so don’t wait too long to snag some.

I do plan to have another sale when I drop my last restock and I will put the labels up in my stories as soon as I figure out what all I can make so you know what will be coming. Just like last time, these will be in VERY limited quantities.

I do want to let you all know that while I was restocking everything, I ran out of wicks. I swore I had another bag stashed away but I must of miss calculated my inventory. Wicks right now are out of stock so I will be getting more in as soon as possible to finish restocking the last few candles I wanted to make (oxford library is one of them).

I will let you know as soon as possible when I plan to release them and I will have another sale for it.

Happy Thanksgiving!! I wanted to give you all a heads up on the upcoming sale this weekend. I won’t be doing Black Friday, but I will be doing a Small Business Saturday through Cyber Monday sale!

Here is how the sale will work:
It will start on the 28th at 12am PST and end on the 30th at 11:59pm PST.
Use code SmallBiz20 and get 20% off nearly everything!
I have restocked winter/holiday candles, more retired items, and some permanent candles as well. (I will post all the new holiday and retired candles in my stories tomorrow!)
There will be clearance candles of items that have imperfections or have been around a while that just need to leave my shelves.
I will also have a few candles that have good cold throw but poor hot throw so if you are someone who doesn’t burn their candles, these will be super cheap! Discount codes will not work on either of these.

As you already know, the shop will be closing at the end of the year so this is the last time I will be restocking items and some have very limited quantities!
