Tatyana Ostapenko

Tatyana Ostapenko is a Ukrainian American contemporary artist based in Portland, OR. She holds a BFA in Studio Practice from Portland State University.

Her figurative oil paintings focus on women's issues, toxic traditions and trans-generational trauma in the post Soviet milieu. Tatyana Ostapenko She was born and raised in Soviet Ukraine and currently lives in Portland, OR, USA. Tatyana’s work has been exhibited at the Governors Island Art Fair (NYC), Cape Cod Art Museum (Dennis, MA), Littman Gallery (Portland, OR) Locker 50b (Richmond, VA) and Site:Brooklyn (NY, NY) and many other local and national venues. She will be participating in the 2017 Odessa Contemporary Art Biennial in Ukraine. When she is not painting, or working as a Russian-English interpreter, Tatyana is picking chanterelles in the mossy woods of the Pacific Northwest.

Day 3 of Portland Open Studios Tour! It’s been busy from the very start, lots of lovely people and good conversations.

I should have stocked more skater granny and Mt Hood prints, they are the most popular ones and I am about to sell out.

Day 2 Portland Open Studios 💃🏽 Great turnout yesterday, wonderful patrons and great conversations.

Barbie here got a lot of attention, but she is still available. This is the last available painting from the series I made two years ago ( I am so ahead of the trend, what can I say)

Beside this Barbie painting, a have lot of original oils and acrylics from the recent Ukrainian and PNW series.

Also this year I have a larger variety of prints, all archival and signed.

And by popular demand, this is the first year I am offering post cards and stickers. See link in stories for studio location.

SOLD. I painted this one over 8 years ago as a part of my thesis exhibition Fences, Buckets, Mud and Heels.

This painting has been in many shows, got a lot of positive attention, but somehow never found it’s forever home. Until last night. Some things take time.
