You can find two versions of Ghanaian salad, and both are very simple to make at home. The usual ingredient in the vegetarian style are lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumber, onions and baked beans. The non-vegetarian salad includes cooked canned corned beef or cook canned sardines. This recipe is for a traditional vegetarian version — with added avocado. Whatever style you prefer, a creamy mayonnaise-based dressing is a must.

Perhaps the one thing we love most about salads is how customizable they truly are—you can always change the greens (think, kale, arugula, spinach and more) and other ingredients or dressing to satisfy your cravings! But when we're in the mood for a classic Caesar salad, we always turn to our best recipe, which is also the most traditional version. That means it's time to bring out the anchovies and eggs—and don't skimp on quality Parmesan cheese. We even included garlicky homemade croutons to balance the tangy dressing.
