At Harbor Holl Sound we pride ourselves on going above and beyond at all events we do. Those of you who have hired us know this to be true. Tonight’s gig on the Lexington ship we planned to do the same thing to give them more than expected. The band Bushbullit was great, the audience was very complimentary many folks came up to me said it was the best they had heard on their many years of going to the 4th events there. The Laser show was amazing as well as the guy who did it. BUT the Lexington management was horrible. We were supposed to have dedicated power but did not but we dealt with it and moved on. Needed additional power to run power amps to fill the 300 feet of the front of the ship so everyone could hear. They provided us another circuit but it had phase issues which at first thought was our power distro at our amp rack. Turns out that circuit was improperly wired and my distro was doing its job after all protecting our gear. We finally worked through that which caused us to have audio to the front deck to start late. They accused us of causing the band to start late which they did not they started at 7 as required with full sound and lights. At load out their management said we were taking to long and gave us a fifteen minute deadline otherwise we would have to leave our gear on the upper deck till Monday morning to pick up or pay overtime while their employees waited on us to finish. Their management never gave us a deadline to load out prior to event. My point here is if you get asked to play on the Lex or do production double whatever you’d normally charge and then add another 500 and then it might be worth it. Sorry about the rant this is not in my nature to complain but you’ve been warned now.

Worked with some amazing entertainment last night. Lucky Joe Band, Bobby Pulido, and DJ El Dusty. Harbor Holl Sound providing Audio and Lighting along with Mobile Stage Houston providing stage. A special thanks Alford Media Group with all their help from their staff in assisting us during this event. They treated us amazingly even though we were small fries compared to them everyone was so friendly and professional.
