I should have known this would be a challenge for me to paint, since the graphite version was my favorite in the series ~ the bar felt pretty high! I think it naught take me a little while to get used to seeing it in color.

The Beech Leaves oils will be included (and finally available for purchase) in my upcoming show in Tenant’s Harbor, ME, in July.

I should have known this was going to be difficult for me to paint, since it was my favorite of the Beech Leaves drawings ~ that always raises the bar for me. It will take me a while to get used to seeing it in color, too!

I’d love to get your opinions on a framing question…These three small (8” x 6”) paintings are going to be hanging at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, ME, later this Spring and into the Summer, along with other Dodder paintings and Reed paintings. I am trying to decide if I should frame these three together or separately. What do you think?
