Welcome Oregon Coast!
A couple years back, my family and I took a road trip up through the center of California into Oregon, over to the coast, and back down Highway 101. It was one of the most breathtaking stretches of coastline I’ve seen in a long time.
There were many stops along the way including one at a hospital for a fractured foot (mine), but that didn’t stop us from having a great time.
One of the points we stopped along the way was near Sisters Rock State Park where there was this beautiful cove where the verdant cliffs dove into the sea. Like many of the beaches along the southern Oregon Coast, there were no people around; it was completely unspoiled and beautiful and I felt so lucky in that moment to have seen it.
Two years later, something pulled in me to paint this slice of coast I keep flashing back to in my memories.
When I look at this print, I see adventure, I smell the salt air, and I feel a cool breeze on my face as the wind whips off the water.
