A lady is never fully dressed without her pearls… so naturally I made them oversized. 🤪✨
For Glow’s winter window display, I created these giant pearl strands using white ball pit balls from Amazon, fishing line, and a 6” dull needle. Honestly one of the easiest DIY window installations that makes a BIG impact.
Here’s how I made them:
1. Cut a piece of fishing line to your desired length depending on how long you want the strand to hang in the window.
2. Tie a knot at the end of the fishing line so the pearls don’t slide off.
3. Thread the fishing line through a 6” dull needle.
4. Puncture the needle straight through the center of a white ball pit ball.
5. Slide the ball down the fishing line to the bottom knot.
6. Repeat the process, stringing ball after ball until the fishing line is filled.
7. Once the strand is full, tie off the end with another knot to secure everything in place.
I made multiple strands in different lengths so they cascade down the window and create that dramatic oversized pearl look.
