When I was young, Mrs. Dacus was a teacher at my school. I never got to have her, but I got to know her. She was the teacher that gave Mrs. Frizzle a run for her money. She was silly, passionate, and truly wonderful.

Fast forward to last week (21 years later)— I received a request for a sign from a girl who was interning in a school, and she wanted a sign made for her mentor teacher. When I asked the name, she said “Mrs. Dacus.” I just knew in my heart it was her, and she confirmed it was.

Mrs. Dacus, thank you for all you do for students and for believing in me all those years ago. ♥️
