I took my machine today to get serviced because my little one plays with the spool pins so much.... Unfortunately they broke the other day when trying to embroider some items. Hoping to have it back in a week. Then this summer it will go for complete servicing.

Y'all hang with me, I'll be able to start back in a week hopefully. In the mean time I'm drawing up and cutting out the newest and next items.

Jennifer Pollard Rager asked me some time ago if I had ever made a T-shirt quilt. I told her no but that it was on my bucket/want to do list. She got together a bunch of her sons trap shooting T-shirts and brought them to me at work.

This one was hard work trying to get everything even, level and centered without the material stretching. I could tell these were some of his favorite ones for sure. Not a bad thing at all! I've definitely got my favorites that once they get too big or too small I plan on turning into my own T-shirt quilt because I hate throwing things away.

I struggled with getting everything to stay square. Honestly I was afraid for a while I wasn't going to be able to do it. I almost quit with the first row because of the amount of times I ripped it out due to things looking very uneven. The first three rows came out even looking, but you can see once I got that fourth row together it was so much longer than the others. I stewed over it for a long time and decided to just put gray material at the bottom of the first 3 rows. But I hated the way it looked. So out came Jack my seam ripper. I took the extra material off the first three rows and took the last one off completely. I took some strips of material I had on in between the shirts out and wala....it was square. Don't ask me why I didn't think to do that first. I guess we will just say a MASSIVE brain fart on my part!

I powered through it and I am so glad I did! Jennifer loved it and I hope Evan did too!

If wanting a t-shirt quilt made cutting the material before getting it to me is NOT a requirement. She just had some she only wanted certain parts used for. I'll gladly take notes of any designs you want and any you don't want included on your t-shirt quilt.

Next one my list: Crown Royal bags! Steven Waddlington from work has given me a bunch to turn into either a lap throw or a full size quilt.

This was a first for me. Jimmy Morse asked that I take a moving blanket and put a name on it for his 4 year old monster truck obsessed "grandson". He provided the material that he wanted to use. However the moving blanket was blue and the monster truck material got lost on it. You couldn't really tell the name was on there when I laid it on it before sewing. So I improvised! I put it on green material, then put the green material on the moving blanket. I also made a pillow case and a body pillow. I staggered the name so that it gave it a little more character. I went around it a few times to ensure that the blocks wouldn't come free and unravel.

My sister Debbie Hall Dowell asked me to make this for her best friend's newest grandbaby.

This one was a doozy! It tested my patience more than I would like to admit! After I was finished with it I realized what I failed to do. I usually always pray over the quilts I make before I start cutting....when I started quilting I realized I did not do that! Lesson learned!!!!

I ended up cutting this quilt wrong several times. Which ended up in me having to go get more material, still cutting it wrong, and almost didn't have enough material to complete it.

I loved the western theme! I originally had the initials on the quilt and put them on there wrong. So I ended up ripping them out. I hated that, but this way it works in case she wants to use the theme again if they have another baby.

"Aztec" is the pattern name. This was work. Yes it tested my patience but I love that it was a huge learning experience! I'll eventually do this one again- with major prayers over the material BEFORE I make the third cut to start with the "steps" part of the quilt.

Now that I know Sky baby got her gift I can share the photos of the twin sized quilt I made for her. This one was a fun creation! I took what was just a "square" and turned it into a complete quilt.

Catherine Lane asked me to come up with a way to incorporate butterflies and wildlife animals. Skylar loves both, so what better way than to use wildlife material to make a butterfly. Thank you again for asking me to make this one for you!

I also forgot to post photos of the quilt I made for Emily Tyler niece Savy for her first baby. I called it the Peter Rabbit color theme. I loved making it and it turned out beautiful! This was just laid out on the bed as a finished quilt top. Unfortunately I don't have finished with the back and binding photos.

My pixelated heart top is finished. I just think it looks too small....so what do y'all suggest?

I can't believe I forgot to post photos of this one! Catherine Lane I borrowed two from you with Dom in them, hope you're ok with that again. 😊 I wanted to make it big enough that the two of them could cuddle together for years to come. This was another first for me. I appliqued the name on the top instead of embroidering it. I think I enjoyed that more than the embroidery. It was challenging and something I can put my OCD into full force. Making sure the spacing between the letters was equal and that they are all the same height. I will definitely be repeating the applique technique again soon!!!

I made these two twin sizes for my nieces Hattie and June for Christmas. I had them pick out the colors and I just went with what patterns I thought looked good.

I may have already posted these like forever ago, but I made this one for a lady at work. It was for her daughter as a housewarming gift. Her request was Harry Potter so I did the Harry Potter stained glass fabric, cut it into squares and made the Jacob's ladder pattern.
