It's never too early to start thinking about handmade, personalized gifts this holiday season. Whether it's a cutting board engraved with your mother-in-law's name or a jewelry box made just for your niece, every piece is handcrafted to order — a small way to bring something one-of-a-kind into someone's home.

And if a piece like this makes you think bigger — a custom dining table, a statement piece for your own home — that's actually where my heart is. Small gifts are how I keep the shop running between builds, but custom furniture is the work I love most.

🎄 Order gifts by Nov 15 for holiday delivery.

Still in the shop, but this cabinet is coming together nicely. Started with oak and now the shelves and joinery are taking shape. There's something satisfying about watching a piece go from raw lumber to something with real structure and character.
More updates as the finish work comes together. 🪵

Sneak peek at the cabinet build in progress. Mortise and tenon joints, hardwood face framing — this is the kind of project I use to keep pushing my skills forward for the furniture I build for clients.

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Gentle Grain Workshop!

Today is a day to celebrate the people who build, create, craft, and put in the work to make things happen.

That’s something we can definitely get behind. 🔨

If your living room could use a little more character, maybe it’s time to replace that old coffee table with something made to last.

Every piece we build is handcrafted with real wood, attention to detail, and a whole lot of work behind it.

🪵 Built by hand.
🪵 Built to last.
🪵 Built right here in New Jersey.

This Labor Day, support small businesses, support makers, and bring something unique into your home.

Looking for a new coffee table? Check out what Gentle Grain Workshop is building.
