As I prepared to set up my planner yesterday, I decided to start with this post I'd seen on Instagram by Her View From Home earlier in the day!
It's special because I didn't grow up around grandparents, even though they lived in the same city as us....and my daughter gets to experience the love of not one but 3 grandparents, who make the effort to show up across continents โค๏ธ there is no greater joy!
On my mom's visit to NY, she couldn't stop finding similarities between Bina and my baby self, and more importantly the things I was doing with Bina, that she had chosen to do with me... My best childhood memories always involve mom & I going to her favorite spots and shopping together, be it groceries, crafting supplies, stationery, clothes to stitch.....it didn't matter, as long as we did it together ๐ it's the only way I know to mother!
This write up reminded me of just how valuable and validating it is, to learn you are mindfully choosing to continue parts of your legacy which hold the most meaning!
