Smile through it all. Not because it was easy, but because you refused to let the hard moments steal your JOY. 🤍

It was time to shut that door—and make sure it didn’t ever open again.

And honestly? This renovation has been an absolute breath of fresh air.

This space quickly became one of our favorite rooms in the house… our little escape each morning and night as we navigate all the daily chaos in between.

It’s become the room where the kids/teens gather for movie nights, where we play pool and board games, where we can host football viewing parties (and HOW ABOUT THOSE RAVENS coming through literally at the last second Sunday night?! 🏈💜), where we swivel in these ridiculously soft leather chairs and catch up with old friends, and where we can simply pile up together as a family.

Sometimes a room needs more than a pretty facelift. Sometimes it needs to work differently for the life happening inside it.

New paint, completely changing the orientation of the room, and swapping out and adding all new dimmable lighting made a world of difference.

But clearly, the showstopper is the new built-ins. 🤌🏼 So much storage for extra blankets, books, games and crafts… lit shelving… and that reeded backdrop installed behind the Frame TV. Function + cozy + a lotta bit of JOY by design.

“Raising a daughter is much like tending a garden—you pour in love, patience, and care, then stand back in awe as she becomes something entirely her own.”

This child deserves it ALL. 🤍 The kindness she sprinkles everywhere she goes is what makes her the most beautiful.

Her room was overdue for a little glow-up. ✨ We mixed in a little + then accessorized with and weighted stuffies because… there is no better way to have it when you're 9 years old. 🎀

I carefully chose a paint color that paired perfectly with her bedding. But, brought the millwork magic!! Together, those details completely transformed the space and gave her room that little something extra that she deserves.

Getting to support another local boss babe made this project even more special!

A little more pretty. A little more personality. And a whole lot more MY GIRL. 💕

Forget keeping up with the trends. The real flex is living in a home designed to bring you JOY because it feels unmistakably YOU.

Can I let you in on a little secret? Piecing together different fabrics, tile, wallpaper and paint makes me downright exhilarated. 🤩

My first career was teaching, and educating will always be in my soul. I love teaching my clients why certain textures pair beautifully together, when colors complement each other instead of compete, how to best utilize their space, how to organize the clutter, and—most importantly—how to be part of the design process.

Because my designs aren’t just a finished product. Each project becomes a new chapter in my book.

Some chapters are filled with growth and development. Most have colors and happiness flying off the pages. And every single job creates a new relationship.

🩵 I love my repeat characters.
🩵 I love hearing from clients out of the blue just to tell me how much they STILL love living in their space.
🩵I love the Christmas cards.
🩵 I love the referrals.
🩵 I love knowing that a home I helped create continues to bring someone joy long after the last pillow is placed.

Because for me... designing isn’t just my career.

It’s the details that happen behind the scenes—the unexpected combinations, the little lessons, the personal touches, the relationships—that create a completely unique design AND experience.

And THAT is my biggest flex. ✨

Watch out, Jack and Jill… there’s some new competition in town. 😉 The Jocelyn & Hadley is a fierce force!

This bathroom was long overdue for a refresh. The plumbing was failing, the functionality and layout were less than ideal, and the original tile from 19 years ago had officially seen better days.

We removed both entry doors and converted them to pocket doors, gaining a TON of much-needed space in the walkway.

Both girls wanted a sit-down vanity, so we opted for one vessel sink with two makeup stations on either side. And because every girl needs ALL the products, the sink cabinet is packed with specialty pull-out drawers for everything from hairdryers and straighteners to brushes and hair products.

I wanted the sink wall to feel GRAND, and this tall marble backsplash was the perfect choice. The girls fell in love with it the second they saw it at the slab yard, and I knew the scalloped edging with a cove-edge profile would be the chef’s kiss. ✨

I opted for dimmable pendant lighting for a fresh, modern look. These Minka lights had JUST been released, and I’m so excited to see them on display at market in a few weeks! There is SO much incredible “getting ready” lighting available right now.

And these swivel storage chairs? Chic, incredibly comfortable, and upholstered in performance fabric. 🌟

In the shower room, we removed the tub and added frameless glass to open everything up. I love how the stacked marble niche turned out, especially with the fun accent tile and shelves. It was just the right amount of pop against the calming stacked picket tile.

I opted for painted walls in the shower room and a textured grasscloth wallpaper in the vanity area. The neutral palette ties beautifully into the custom vanity color, flooring, and shower tile, creating a space that feels feminine without feeling too young.

Finally, we removed the dated linen closet and replaced it with a custom linen tower. The top half has adjustable shelving for towels and linens, while the deep drawers are perfect for all those extra products. If Sephora or Tree Hut would like to sponsor this post, I’d be happy to demonstrate just how much product those drawers can hold. 😂

My cabinet crew absolutely NAILED the custom millwork I requested for both the sink vanity doors and linen tower doors. The inset cabinetry was an added luxury that made all the difference.

Home renovations aren’t something that happen every year, so even though my “clients” are only 9 and 11 right now, every selection had to be made with the future in mind. I wanted them to love this space not just now, but when they’re coming home from college years from today.

I love the balance of femininity, maturity, and simplicity in this space.

Most importantly, I love that my girls were part of the design team. They made selections, learned about materials and tile layouts, experienced the renovation process, and ultimately helped create a bathroom that feels like them.

A space designed for the girls they are today — and the women they’re becoming. 🤍

Two years ago, this dear client had no idea she would be downsizing so soon when we splurged on a much-needed home refresh. And now, two years later, I’m so grateful we get to give those beloved pieces a beautiful new home. 🤍

We purchased two luxurious sofas from , carefully selecting fabrics that worked perfectly with her original color scheme. We paired them with custom COM ottomans, gold nesting tables, and two gorgeous swivel chairs from .

Thankfully, I had saved all of her original fabric samples in her client folder! That little detail made choosing a new rug, wall color, and complementary grasscloth so much easier. And while the floor plan was completely different, I was thrilled to see that her existing pieces fit beautifully into the new space.

worked his magic once again with custom built-ins, perfectly tailored to the space—even constructing them off-site! And the library light is the perfect finishing touch, beautifully showcasing her collected decor.

I’m also so grateful to JACC Painting for taking on another fireplace refresh with me. We found a gorgeous porcelain surround, and my client selected a stunning stone for the hearth. The result? 🤌🏼

Homey. Beautiful. Cozy. Classy. Chic.

So many ways to describe this updated space—and perhaps my favorite part is that we were able to take pieces from a previous chapter and make them feel completely at home in the next one. ✨

It was an immediate “I love you” the second I saw this kitchen fully renovated. 🤍

We took this plain Jane, vanilla kitchen and turned it into a work of art.

The tiny island was made even smaller by a sink that took up so much valuable space. With the help of JACC Painting, we added extra cabinetry along the backside of the island and an overhang on two sides, instantly giving the island more depth, width, and function.

Then came the fun part. 💙

We painted the island a beautiful blue and added fluted wood to the backside. I wanted the design to feel completely seamless, so we carried that fluted pattern onto the custom made inset doors.

We replaced the countertops with a custom-selected quartzite, ripped out the old backsplash, and added stunning reeded glass for a little unexpected texture.

There were no lights over the island, so we added two larger pendants to give the space the presence it was missing. These stools have always been a favorite, but using COM fabric took them to another level.

And finally, changing all of the hardware and plumbing from brushed nickel to gold? Game changer. ✨

Every detail was intentional, and seeing it all come together was one of those this is exactly why I love what I do moments.

Starting from a clean slate is my specialty. Every project begins as a blank canvas—one that isn’t complete without the sketches, layers, details, and fine-tuning that bring it to life. 💫

What appears to be a decorative accent wall is actually a hidden entrance, revealing itself only when the correct code is entered. Beyond the door, floor-to-ceiling plaid wallpaper, a vintage telephone, curated artwork, and a designated spot to leave your cell phone behind welcome you into a world where time slows down.

A copper sconce illuminates a personalized antique sign, marking ownership of this special retreat. Step through the arched brick opening and you’ll feel transported back to the 1920s—though this version of Prohibition hits a little differently.

Vinyl records line the shelves, ranging from Frank Sinatra and Michael Bublé Christmas classics to Chris Stapleton and 311. Whiskeys from around the world and across generations share space with vintage black-and-white photographs and modern prohibition-inspired art.

The custom swivel chairs were designed specifically for this room, featuring rich chocolate leather seats, taupe leather strapping accented with brass nailheads, and masculine tweed backs. At the center sits a treasured family heirloom—a trunk once used by a grandfather who worked as a cobbler, now repurposed as the room’s centerpiece.

Instead of traditional board and batten, wh***ey barrel wainscoting wraps the room, complete with a ledge perfectly sized for an Old Fashioned. Above, leather wallpaper adds warmth and texture without competing with the showstopping copper tin ceiling. Behind glass doors, a w**e cellar showcases bottles from around the globe.

This space transports you to a simpler time, quiets the noise of everyday life, and invites conversation, reflection, and connection.

It’s a vibe.

And without question, one of my favorite projects I’ve ever had the honor of designing. ✨

She’s backkkkkkkkk!!!!! 🎉

Just shy of three months ago, I very abruptly put my business on hold to focus on what mattered most—my family.

During that time... my #1, Jessica Parrish-Menas stepped up to the plate and handled unfamiliar tasks with grace and professionalism. I also had seven incredible clients who told me they would wait for me to return before starting their renovations… and they did exactly that. I will never be able to fully express how much that meant to me. 🥹

This season has taught me a lot about finding joy in the middle of difficult circumstances. Sometimes life doesn’t go according to plan. Sometimes walls come crashing down, timelines get delayed, and you’re forced to live in the mess longer than you ever expected. Sound familiar? 😉

It’s true in life, and it’s true in home renovations.

But I’ve learned that even in the disruption, there can be beauty. Even in the uncertainty, there can be hope. And sometimes the most meaningful transformations happen after the hardest seasons.

Today, I’m officially back to grindin’! 💪🏻✨ I can’t wait to sprinkle lots of JOY all around the triangle - just like this community has done for me!
