Hello, Friday! It’s a gorgeous first Friday of fall down here. The layers of this room always remind me of summer fading into fall. The deep grounding color of the custom Rail & Stile coffee table and my client’s amazing vintage rug are a wonderful balance with the playfully elegant textile patterns ✨

Cheers to summer and a happy 250th to our country this July 4th! I opened my email yesterday morning and my morning The New York Times was an article called “the pursuit is the point” and I couldn’t agree more. As an artist I often feel the process is the most important part. While I sometimes find it hard not to just focus on results, I am trying. And it was such a boon to be reminded of this through a series of stories they shared in the article. I chose this photo because this is life’s process at work: I had just made the bed in preparation for our guests’ arrival but clearly these cuties had other plans, so I let them have their fun, after all this is often when the magic happens. I can always remake the bed ✨🩷 cheers to us all noticing the everyday moments and being present in our pursuit of happiness!

Y’all have been asking for updates on this house!! In no particular order here are some progress shots from the last month…it is finally reaching the finish line and I am feeling just so tickled every time I get to see this vision we created from the ground up come to life!

Tiles, paint, custom millwork, pops of color, vintage doors, a peek at my mom’s masterpiece idea for a ch*****ne bar…fun hardware, oyster shell walls, a site visit involving a dip in the pool with the kids (so much fun even if it is still waiting for landscaping 🤣), and the very last photo gives you a glimpse at something super fun and exciting I cannot wait to unveil!! Happy weekend!

The No. 1 thing I LOVE about being an interior designer is sourcing unique products and meeting other creatives like myself in the process! This family room’s pillows (all from smaller makers) is a perfect illustration! It’s all in the details and working to find just the right combination of elements ✨

Here’s to my favorite stop at market this spring! I had the best time wandering through x — I got to meet so many of the artists behind the boutique collections. Tile swatch in hand, I schemed for wallpaper and banquette fabrics for a long time Manhattan client’s kitchen renovation!
