It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of one of our own—a close, dedicated, and deeply valued firefighter who was not only a brother in the service, but a friend to many of us. This is an incredibly difficult time, and there are no easy words to make sense of it. What we do know is that we are all feeling this loss in different ways, and no one should have to carry that weight alone.

Please remember that it’s okay to not be okay. There are people here who care about you and want to listen—whether that’s someone in the department, a trusted friend, or a professional resource. If you’re struggling, reach out. If you notice someone else who may be hurting, check in on them. A simple conversation can make a difference.

We are a family, and now more than ever, we need to stand together, support one another, and stay strong as a team. Let’s honor our brother by taking care of ourselves and each other.
