I had an amazing interaction with a customer the other day, and it really made me think. She asked questions about me, noticed the changes in my page the last year, her observations showed she has seen me as a person, and it was so refreshing! I have felt so disconnected from what I do lately. I am just one person, who sews hundreds of quilts in my home. Being reminded that at least some of my customers see me as the mother, daughter, sister, and friend that I am brought tears to my eyes as I headed home. I love what my quilts represent, who they honor. I see them as part of celebrations and grieving, as gifts to those who will love them. My business is so much more than fabric acquisition, production, paperwork, and money, to me. Knowing those that receive my quilts will feel cherished, and cherish them is what keeps me going. Thank You Dew, for bringing me a reminder that some of my customers see me. You were the blessing I needed this week.
