Vegan Reno

Hello everyone! It's been 5 years since I started the Vegan Reno page. I started this page as a personal reference to add links to some of my favorite things plant-based, healthy and vegan. I never realized that through word of mouth my little page would grow to over 230 followers!

After about 1 year of starting Vegan Reno. I was contacted by a well known Denmark vegan chef The Organic Boho, who has a large following and television show in Europe. They asked me to help them organize and manage a booth right here in Reno at The Reno Balloon races, I was shocked that they chose Reno out of all of the places they could have chosen in the U.S. I am grateful I got to be a part of it and it was such a wonderful experience. Reno welcomed them with open arms and they have been asked to come back many times. We are hopeful that one day we can bring their wonderful concept of Beautiful food and delicious vegan eating to stay right here in Reno. I am so grateful for this page and the connections I have been able to make throughout our community. I truly never intended for this to become more.

Over the past 4 years, Reno has grown so much along with the Vegan Reno page, proving to me that there are many more like-minded friends in Reno that are looking for the same kind community and ideas of a healthy lifestyle. Being a Reno-ite for almost 30 years I have seen so many changes here in Reno. I am so grateful for all of the good healthy businesses that have made Reno their home. For the new year-round farmer's markets, the co-ops and healthy grocery stores. The Vegan Chef Challenge 2019 proved to Reno that there are so many that want and need Vegan here in our beautiful city and encouraged our community to listen to those needs. For the many restaurants/food trucks and eateries that have been here in Reno for so many years paving the way, sticking it out and providing our community with great food and healthy meals. I love Reno! and all it has to offer, the beautiful mountains, the friendly faces, the community that it has and is continuing to build. I feel so privileged to live here and I am grateful that there are so many that have the same passion and love of bringing Vegan and healthy living to our Biggest Little City Reno, Nevada.

So as 2020 is the start of new beginnings, I have decided to up my game and work a little harder on bringing Vegan Reno to a whole different level. I would love input on ideas and things you think would be helpful to have on our Reno Vegan page. Some thoughts we have is:
