Cassi Mounteer is the owner of The Backyard Pantry and co-owner of RepMo Market, where she combines her love for gardening, teaching, and community building. With a background of 25+ years in food preservation, self-reliance education, and small business development, Cassi has turned her passions into opportunities that serve others. She first became involved with the Republic Area Chamber of Commerce to connect with other local business owners and find ways to be more involved with the community, but quickly found so much more—a network of friends, mentors, and partners all working together to make Republic thrive. It didn’t take long before she stepped into leadership roles within the Chamber, including Chairman of Womentum and the Red Carpet Committee, she is grateful to be part of an organization that uplifts and supports the local business community. Cassi strives to be deeply involved in Republic beyond her businesses, serving on several local boards such as Care to Learn and the Kiwanis Club, and volunteering regularly with nonprofit organizations across the area.

What Cassi enjoys most about volunteering with the Chamber is the opportunity to give back while helping others succeed. Whether it’s welcoming new businesses, organizing community events, or encouraging young entrepreneurs, she is passionate about creating spaces where people feel seen, supported and connected. For Cassi, being active in the Chamber is not just about running a business—it’s about building relationships, strengthening the community, and setting an example for her two young sons of what it means to lead with service and collaboration.

Customer last minute asked if I could remake their team jerseys, they added some players or some kids out grew their last one.

Unfortunately, since it was last minute, I could not get the same jersey style because most were out of stock. We were able to still get her something, but also offer a new design. 🤩

I love hand painting custom orders! Ornaments are great for employees, stocking stuffers, sentimental gifts for loved ones, 12 days of Christmas gifts, baby’s first Christmas, gag gifts etc.

I absolutely love creating things for my customers, and I absolutely love how weird or funny some can be! I also love when they share the story behind the idea. 🤣🙌🏻
