We’re looking for a couple of bada$$ folks to add to the Lone Chimney crew.

We are looking to fill 2 Sales Associate positions at the Dallas Farmers Market location and occasionally fill in at Richardson but you’d mostly be scheduled downtown. We are currently not hiring for Richardson 😞

We’re looking for someone who is available to fill in on weekend shifts and can handle a fast paced and full house of customers with ease and has an eye for keeping the shop nicely merchandised throughout your shift. Someone who will take ownership and ready to go on a journey with us as we are growing! Someone who is ok with a boss that’s learning as we go and here to offer support!❤️

Could quickly lead to more hours or other roles so tell me what you’re good at! You must like people 🤣

Also tell us:

* A little bit about yourself
* Your resume, if you have one readily available
* Your general availability and expectation of hours
* A fun fact about yourself! Because obviously we need to know.

Hit us up via email! And if you have sent us your resume before and still interested please send again!

Please feel free to share with someone you think would be a great fit!

How cool is it that you can finally shop LOCAL at some of the biggest airports in the country!!

Here’s just a little peek at a handful of the incredible local vendors you’ll find at our DFW International Airport location inside Terminal D! ✨

Seeing so many small businesses represented inside one of the busiest airports in the world is just so dang exciting. Local makers, local brands, TEXAS GOODS are all getting seen by travelers from all over the world!!

Big shoutout to Paradies Lagardère and DFW International Airport for making dreams like this happen! ✈️🛍️

WOW! Our Dolly Parton windows brought us hundreds of new followers so I figured it’s a good time to share the history of LCM again. So here it is.

Feels like forever ago. 1999. I was 22 & had zero clue what I was doing but decided to open my first store. It was a vintage shop plus jewelry I made & candles my mother poured. It was called “Down Dog Designs” & was right off campus in Stillwater, OK on The Strip across from The Barn (IYKYK). My rent was $200.

And no, it wasn’t named that because I did yoga. I don’t think I even knew what yoga was in 1999 🤣 I sourced 95% of my merch from a junkyard in Yale, OK. You usually had to drive around town to find Wilbur so he could unlock the gate. When you were done you’d pull up to his house, honk, & he’d check your truck to make sure you didn’t find anything “valuable.” Every load was $10.

Wilbur had a dozen dogs & while he dug through my pile they’d jump on him & he’d yell “DOWN DOG! DOWN DOG!” So I named the shop after Wilbur. 😂 He was a Vietnam vet with fire red hair and I have stories for DAYS.

These are about the only pics I have of that shop. When 9/11 happened, that ended that run. We didn’t have a customer for a couple weeks, so I waited tables at Eskimo Joe’s & eventually sold the store for a couple grand. I was shocked anyone wanted to buy it. 😂

Having a shop has always been the only thing I could picture myself doing. I moved to Dallas & worked in property management until another chance came through the owner of the company I worked for, who had just acquired the Dallas Farmers Market.

Fast forward to now… we have Richardson, partnered with Paradies Lagardère to open in Terminal D at DFW, & soon Bush Airport.

I wouldn’t be living this dream without your support, so to my OG friends & followers & all the new ones… THANK YOU for the millionth time for keeping this dream alive & following all my wild ideas that sometimes work and sometimes don’t. Hopefully I get to keep doing this until I’m 90!

If you made it this far, thanks for reading. If you didn’t…I don’t blame you! 🙃

Come in between now & Sunday & say “Down Dog” for 15% off your entire purchase!🫶

Y’all, our new windows are a LOT but so was Dolly and I think she’d love them.

Dolly has been part of the personality of Lone Chimney Mercantile for years. We’ve always been one of your go to spots for Dolly merch, because we genuinely love everything she represents. Kindness, humor, generosity, and most importantly….being unapologetically yourself.

With all of the attention surrounding her passing, we also want to say this clearly. This isn’t about jumping on a moment or profiting from her passing. Dolly was part of our shop long before this sad news, and she’ll continue to be part of it long after. Plus the amount of merch we have is less than what these amazing windows cost but I don’t care they are worth every penny.🤣

These windows are simply our way of celebrating a woman we’ve adored for years and a true LEGEND. 💗

And in Dolly’s own spirit:
“If you see someone without a smile, give ’em yours.” And we hope these windows also puts a smile on your face!

Come see the new windows in person!

Enjoy and be kind to one another!

And thank you to the BEST sign guy in DFW for making this happen! https://www.facebook.com/share/1HY1siKrJo/?mibextid=wwXIfr

We’re so excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Paradies Lagardère once again to open our SECOND airport location! This time at IAH Bush Intercontinental Airport Bush Intercontinental Airport !

Coming this October, you’ll find us inside the newly revamped Terminal B!

This new space will be a split concept, bringing together two very different Texas travel experiences. One side will feature Sky to Trail, with outdoor + adventure favorites from brands like The North Face, Cotopaxi, Marine Layer and Herschel Supply Co. and on the other side, Lone Chimney Mercantile, filling the shelves with even more of the local makers, gifts and Texas finds we love so much.

We’re incredibly excited to keep growing and to continue our mission of bringing LOCAL to the airports and introducing travelers from all over the world to some of the amazing makers and brands from our community.

DFW ➡️ IAH… here we come, Houston! ✈️

A huge thank you to Paradies Lagardère and Bush Intercontinental Airport for giving us another opportunity to do what we love.
