Sally's Angelworks Handmade goodies to inspire hope in the world today! In June 2010, I opened my Etsy store of handmade quilty items.

The mission of Sally's Angelworks is to inspire hope through these handmade items. Sometimes hope can be inspired through the practical: camera strap covers, little sweet aprons, tote bags. Hope can definitely be inspired through art/quotes. This is where my mini quilt art comes into play. To create inspiring fabric art is a long-time passion of mine, and what a privilege it is to fulfill this dream!

So we did it!!!! We got this sweet, wonderful, caring, strong, loving baby married to the love of her life!!! (More wedding pics to come - I left my phone in the bridal suite all day!)

I was soooo blessed to be able to create a bunch for the wedding: the wedding cake was my favorite!!! And it tasted great! The veil was so fun to make!!! These organize chair covers for our daughter’s parents who we miss greatly!!!! My dress for the wedding and my Liberty dress for the rehearsal dinner!!! I have been creating, y’all!!!!! Now it’s back to regularly scheduled quilts!!! And congrats to our beautiful couple, Lei-leen and Taylor!!!

Back in June, I was watching a whole heckin ton of Great Canadian/American/British Baking show. I was always hungry for macarons, so I asked my daughter to bring her macaron cookbook (basically all of the recipes from La Duree in Paris - Mr Gorgeous and I have actually been there!!) Let’s just say the recipes are wonderful, tasty, and make a gob of macarons!!! I think someone was super happy MawMaw made them, too!!

My youngest baby loves to carry around fabric!!! So I made him a cozy lovey that he can carry around his house!!! I used a pattern from Shannon Fabrics called Self Binding Blanket and a cute Cuddle fabric from SewSpecialQuilts-KTX . I used one of my fave sheep patterns by my bestie Julie Dueck and appliquéd it to the front. I added some Star Wars and fun sparkly tags I got a while ago (tags are great for texture!)and there we go!! A baby’s lovey!!!

Oh my goodness the fabrics are soooo cute!!! So my bestie (Julie Dueck Julie) is writing this awesome Block of the Month pattern for one of her subscriptions (Morris Collective Club) and I was like, I totally want to do that BOM with my Japanese Gems subscription fabrics. So I pulled the first block’s fabrics!!! So freaking adorable!!! My goal is to have this block done by Saturday this week!!! Keep me honest!!
BTW, if you have a subscription to any of her subs, you can have this pattern for FREE, too!!!! What a bestie!!!

Oh my heart with these boys!!! Cora was wonderful to hop on a plane from Atlanta and bring Milo and Eliot to see MawMaw and PawPaw last week! The blessings of Grandparenting!!! It’s the best!!!
