So many of you have shared with me that you love watching my process videos, which makes me so happy, as I love making them! (Editing is not quite as fun.)
Today all of the paintings that I’ve been working on are due. 😳 Deadlines! Ugh!
At the last minute I decided that I needed to throw in a floral along with all of my other work for the gallery show. It’s a work that’s been waiting for me to be creative for a long time. I thought I would share my process, of course it’s not finished! You have to see it in all its glowing prettiness at my gallery show!
Join me next Saturday, May 2nd, from 5-7pm, at the

“Glow: Exploring the light”
is the name of my show where I will be the featured artist for the month of May.
This is very exciting and I hope you join me at the show!

Well today I taught my first art history class to my co-op kids.
They were wonderful and attentive, and nobody left crying so that was a good sign.
Not having any formal art history, schooling myself, we are all learning how God has woven art into every aspect of our lives past, present, and future. What we do with art today will speak into the future just like we’ve seen from the past, and a beautiful example of God‘s design.
The one point perspective painting was something I did when my son was in high school. He’s young and not full armored yet, not quite equipped for the battles of the world. The kids being well-versed in great books said it reminded them of a scene out of the Lord of the Rings, or Pilgrim’s Progress.
These kids are definitely smarter than I am, and the teacher becomes the student, and that’s ok.

Well, being new to this whole gallery show experience I don’t have a lot to compare to the past, but what I can tell you is this; it’s pretty incredible just watching people‘s responses to your artwork. There were times that I stood back and watched and other times where I would ask what they thought about the piece.
The most interesting response was those who thought it looked like Mars. Which I thought was interesting because I’ve never been there.
Cool response all the same.
Thrilled to share that Ken
also had artwork there.
Ken also told me that there were 200 applicants, and only 20 were selected.
I am humbled. 🥰
Thank you .pdx

It was great to celebrate along with a few other Ridgefield Art Association members
(Molly) , Kurt Minnich &
Thanks for coming out!
