Katie is slowly renovating her MCM home in Sylva. I had the pleasure of painting her original cabinets ‘Cotton White,’ keeping the original pulls and spraying them Satin Black.

Photos are ‘before,’ and ‘after.’

My carpenter hubby built her new over-stove and over-sink shelving. Onto building Katie a pantry and recycling station, and me? Touch up and painting her living room!

Good morning! Hello to everybody and a special welcome to new followers!

I haven’t posted consistently because I’ve been on vacation to my home state of Michigan and doing client work back here at home. In between, I painted our own living/dining room and ‘went dramatic’ with a medium blue called ‘Admiral.’

Today we install newly painted kitchen cabinets at my client’s house in Sylva - photos to come!

She’s finished! This lovely long French Provencial chest of drawers is ready for your home.

She’s been updated in “High Cotton” white and the 6-drawers have been covered in Anaglypta painted wallpaper and painted too.

The original FP pulls have been painted antique gold. Graceful curled front legs.

The chest measures 36” tall x 18” deep and 47.5” wide.

She’s not a “Plain Jane” anymore! This Stanley solid-wood nightstand is ready for her debut! She’s been painted “Bungalow Beige.”

Her drawers are dressed up with Anaglypta painted wallpaper and lightly whitewashed, and the textured beige porcelain k***s are new.

Her drawer bottoms are finished too.

This is so topical today. Friday I found an empire-era dresser that needed some love. Hubby’s been out of town so it’s been living in my SUV all weekend as I can’t unload it solo! It’ll travel to the airport with me. There’s room for Kenny, and I hope that there’s room for his suitcase!

Louann trusted me with her George Washington Desk that came from the MD/DC area. It’s been stripped and cleaned and repainted ‘Tricorn Black,’ plus I added the gold embellishments. The desk, attached file shelves on either side of the top and separate shelving on the wall are ready to live here in the NC mountains!
