History: I’m a former Radio Personality (DJ) who’s been painting furniture and kitchen cabinets for over 20 years, long before I retired from that business.

I am constantly looking for solid-wood, vintage or antique pieces to update. I sand-strip and powder blast furniture here at home (no chemicals) and use washes, glazes, latex and chalk paint.

I also do custom painting work for clients. We offer pick up and delivery services. My husband is a custom carpenter and can fix and repair pieces.

Kitchen cabinet and interior wall painting services are available too.

Janet’s newly painted kitchen is finally finished! Her parents built the house in 1969, and the plain, varnished cabinets needed to be brought up-to-date! Janet picked this color from PPG paints and chose the new hardware. Her kitchen has a new lease on life!

Linda and her hubby brought me this antique maple step back cabinet and wanted it stripped down to bare wood. It turned out gorgeous!

We left the barn red back and shelves for some authenticity. It came to me red, gold and green.

The client will be adding age-appropriate hardware on the large and series of tiny drawers and doors.

Most of the time, the stripping or painting/staining of pieces goes smoothly. Then there are times when you get a piece that just challenges you. I’ve been working on this table for close to two months. It’s 100” long, and has 4 leaves..the grain goes the opposite way of the main body. The pieces took the stain differently and that was my main struggle. She is done and in place at a beautiful home on Lake Burton. So thankful for m client’s patience!

I brought these home yesterday. The woman I bought them from said she bought them for her daughter in 1967. They’ll take a bit of prep to get them cleaned up and ready for primer and paint, but they will be fabulous again!
