“The best mechanical levitation I have ever seen” –Abb Dickson, of the fabulous PRESTO SHOW
• GAMOLO has features NOT AVAILABLE in any other levitation, the ENTIRE illusion packs into one suitcase 32-inches square by 5-inches high with handles and mounts on sturdy rollers. What are the angle limitations for this effect? Can it be done with a wide audience? SUPER X PERFORMANCE ANGLES….CAN’T HAVE ANYONE BEHIND YOU (UNLESS HAVE “COVER”) Does the audience need to be far away, or can it be done with a closer audience? NO DISTANCE REQUIREMENTS. Is there any sort of stage is required, like does there need to be a back curtain or anything like that? NO STAGE REQUIREMENTS “Our plan is to do a levitation in some of our corporate shows where there would be no stage, and sometimes no platform whatsoever.” Should present no problem as Gamolo is an automated Super X in configuration. “We need a levitation that the person will not be laying on a board as they are in the Blair Marshall picture in MAGIC for this illusion.”
If not lying horizontally than presumably upright as in the chair levitation mode? “One of the items listed about the illusion in MAGIC Magazine is “beautifully finished showpiece in deep pile shag carpet and velvet”, and another says “no visible means of support”. To me, that contradicts itself, which is one of the reasons we have been hesitant about this illusion.”
Shag carpet refers to the ministage/carrying case. Vertical support lift column is hidden in typical Super X fashion….no visible means of support. What is the weight of the apparatus? 70 POUNDS Is it possible to roll it on stage just before performance? YES, IT CAN BE PUSHED INTO POSITION What are the begining and finishing heights of levitation? BEGINING APPROX. 36″-39″ FROM THE FLOOR…..ENDING 5′ FROM THE FLOOR Is there a bed or a table to hide the apparatus before using it? MOTOR IS HIDDEN IN MINI-STAGE/CARRYING CASE; POST IS HIDDEN BY DRAPE/CURTAIN; by Performer’s leg in operation. Is this difficult to maintain, and how much maintenance is required? I am not exactly someone who is good with tools. There is no maintenance required…..the motor is a sealed one piece motor/telescoping post. No tools are required to assemble or set up or breakdown….I employ a few bolts with male/female sockets. How many years should this illusion last? Essentially, indefinitely. The motor is industrial use; carries a five year defect warranty. Of course, your usage is sporadic, so should outlast your possession. I imagine carpet, switches, etc. may wear out over time, but easily replaced. Everything is available from any hardware store save for the motor. Please let us know if this require previous preparation of the STAGE or uses OVERHEAD rigging. NO; it does not. What is the maximum weight that can be levitated? About 500 lbs. on top of the piston; about 300 lbs. on the S bar PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE SHIPPING!
