🎬 We filmed our first TV commercial! 🎉

What a fun experience this was!

You may not believe it, but someone who can talk about design all day suddenly struggles when asked to fit everything into just a few seconds. 😅 Before filming, I told Alisha and the amazing WSLS team there was one thing they absolutely could not do—script me! There was simply no way I could repeat the same sentence exactly the same way twice.

One thing I learned? A 30-second commercial can take up to three hours to film! From retakes to rearranging furniture and everything in between, I walked away with a whole new appreciation for everyone working behind the camera.

Most importantly, I wanted the commercial to stay true to why I started this business: helping people create homes that tell their story.

Thank you to the WSLS team for making the experience so much fun, and thank you to all of you for supporting this small business along the way. ❤️

What if your home told your story a little more beautifully? ✨

What a fun day it was shooting my very first commercial with WSLS-TV last week! Alisha and the entire team did such an amazing job making me feel comfortable and truly myself in front of the camera. 📸

From the very beginning, I’ve always felt called to help tell the story of the people behind the home — because every person and every home is beautifully unique in its own way. It’s such a blessing to step into those spaces and never a role I take lightly.

Your home is one of your most cherished possessions here on Earth, and I’m always very humbled to be trusted as your designer. 🤍🏡

Today was probably one of the biggest days of my journey as a business owner!!! We bought our very first commercial, people!

A huge thank you to WSLS-TV and to Alicia and her amazing team for making this experience so special. And my amazing business coach who pushes me just a little bit further out of my comfort each day!

Designers often chase what’s new—market finds, online sourcing, the latest trends. And yes, I do too… but don’t forget the beauty around you. It can inspire not just your design, but your whole perspective.

We are so blessed where we live. So much history and character right here. We visited Washington and Lee University (founded 1749, shaped into a university in the early 1800s) and Virginia Military Institute (established 1839)—right next to each other, yet completely different in architecture and feel.

We also stopped at Natural Bridge—where George Washington carved his initials as a teenager. How cool is that?

Such a good reminder to slow down, take it in, and rest. You don’t have to go far 🤍

She’s getting a facelift! I’m going to start working with my trade folks in my area. 🛏️🪑
It’s time we bring back old! It’s just time. ⏰I’ll be sourcing fabrics, old hardware & wood tones to complete her look.🪞
I don’t know the story behind this piece ! I just wish she could tell it. I do know that my husband and I both love her! We have fought many spiritual battles while sitting in this very chair. While this piece won’t be for sale on my site many other old /vintage pieces will be.
