🪿 THRIFT STORE SCORE OF THE DAY! 🪿
Madeline has been on a serious goose kick lately. I mean, she just has a thing for geese right now.

So when we were at the thrift store today and I spotted this adorable little duck figurine, I immediately looked at her and said, “You HAVE to get this! It would be so cute in your room!” 🥹🪿

And for $3, obviously she had to come home with us.

Then we got home and actually looked at the bottom of it…

WAIT. WHAT?!

Turns out our $3 thrift store goose is actually Jemima Puddle Duck, a Beatrix Potter character made by Beswick England! The bottom is marked Beatrix Potter, “Jemima Puddleduck,” Frederick Warne & Co. 1948, Beswick England.

After a little investigating, we learned that the 1948 date is the original copyright/design date, and this particular version was likely made sometime around the 1970s–1980s.

So basically, Madeline went into the thrift store looking for cute goose décor and accidentally came home with a vintage English collectible.

I love that I saw her and immediately thought, “Madeline needs this goose,” without having ANY idea she was actually a little piece of Beatrix Potter history.

And now she has a special spot in her room. 💕🪿

$3 well spent. ❤️

Moral of the story: When your daughter has a goose obsession, you listen to the goose obsession.

Thanks to Madeline, I am officially in FULL FALL MODE. 🍁

Do I need this many pumpkins? No.
Did I buy them anyway? Obviously.
Is there now a fall decoration in every room of my house? Possibly.
Am I stopping anytime soon? Absolutely not.

At this point, I don’t live in a house. I live in a fall themed experience. 🎃🍁

I blame the teenager. ❤️

☀️✨ Madeline’s driftwood sun catchers are BACK! ✨☀️

Madeline was busy creating another one of her infamous driftwood sun catchers today, and she had a friend over who decided to make one of her own! Her friend made hers a little longer, added shells and we absolutely LOVE how it turned out! She’s going to hang it from her rearview mirror, and I think it’s going to be absolutely beautiful catching the light as she drives. 🚗☀️

A couple of years ago, Madeline made one for my truck, and I still have it hanging there today! I receive endless compliments on it ❤️

So, with the holidays coming up, Madeline is getting ready to start making these again! 🎄🎁

And these aren’t just your ordinary sun catchers, she can personalize them to YOU! She can use different colors, beads, and charms and can create something around just about anything you can think of.

Isn’t this furniture piece divine? I saw it on my local marketplace. It’s an antique Victorian walnut corner étagère (also known as a "whatnot") featuring pierced carved open shelves and fretwork cabinet doors below. 🦋✨ I think this little visitor had something to tell me.
Yesterday, while I was out in my garden, I was visited by the most beautiful Great Spangled Fritillary and I swear, this butterfly kept following me around, stopping to show off those gorgeous wings as if it wanted its picture taken.

So naturally, I took the pictures. Lots of them. 😂

When I looked up what the Great Spangled Fritillary symbolizes, I loved what I found: personal transformation, resilience through hardship, and a vibrant connection to inner joy and creativity.

What a beautiful reminder.

Butterflies are such a powerful symbol of transformation because they literally emerge from one life into another. The Great Spangled Fritillary has an especially fascinating story. Their caterpillars feed on violets, then overwinter through the cold months before emerging in spring to continue their transformation. The adults spend their summers visiting flowers for nectar and can have a wingspan of nearly 4 inches. 🌸🦋

Maybe it was just a butterfly doing what butterflies do
OR maybe, just maybe, it was a little reminder to keep going, keep growing, and keep finding joy in the beautiful things. 💛

After everything life has a way of putting us through, I think I needed this little visitor.

🌿 Welcome to my botanical Wonderland! 🌿

My bathroom used to have plain black rugs, perfectly fine, but honestly, a little blah. Then I laid eyes on these fabulous oversized leaf rugs, and I just knew they belonged in here. 🍃

One look and I could already picture them transforming the space and they did not disappoint! They bring in so much color, texture, and personality, and somehow make my little bathroom feel like I’ve wandered into a lush botanical garden. 🌱🌿🦋

Between the leafy rugs, botanical shower curtain, plants, and all the green, this space has officially gone from ordinary bathroom to full on botanical Wonderland. 💚
