🌸 A little inspiration for your college dorm…

Your college room doesn’t have to feel like a basic dorm room.

With the right bedding, layers, textures and personal touches, you can completely transform the space into something that feels beautiful, comfortable and uniquely yours.

For this Florida Atlantic University double room, we created a LoveShackFancy inspired theme with soft florals, blush, cream and sage, cozy bedding, feminine details and warm lighting.

The goal was to create a space that feels pretty and inviting while still being functional for everyday college life. 🤍

Because your dorm is more than just where you sleep.

It’s where you’ll study, get ready, relax, make memories and spend your first year away from home.

And we think it should feel like your space. ✨

This is just one example of what we can create with a little imagination.

One month down. 🤍

They’re settling into classes, meeting new friends, figuring out their routines… and hopefully remembering to do their laundry. 😂

Now is the perfect time for a little reminder from home.

A thoughtful care package doesn’t have to be over the top. It’s all about sending the things that make their new space feel a little more like home.

Our favorite ideas:

✨ Their favorite snacks and treats

☕️ Coffee, tea or their favorite drink

🧴 A few elevated self care essentials

🧦 Cozy socks or slippers

🕯️ A room spray or something that makes their space feel cozy

🍪 A favorite homemade treat from home

📸 A few family photos

💌 A handwritten note they can keep

🎁 One little surprise they wouldn’t expect

The best care packages are a mix of practical, personal and just plain fun.

Because even when they’re loving college life, there’s nothing quite like getting a package from home. 🤍

What would your college student be most excited to find inside?

Their first college room should feel like theirs. 🤍

The images below are representative inspiration from a dorm project we designed at Rochester Institute of Technology. While these are not the exact photos of the completed room, they reflect the products, color palette, and overall design direction we created for the space.

The student wanted a modern, warm and inviting dorm room featuring burnt orange, brown and cream tones — a space that felt stylish, comfortable and personal.

At Modern Dorm & Co., we create personalized college spaces that are thoughtfully designed around each student — from the color palette and furnishings to the details that make the room feel like home.

Because the best dorm room isn’t just beautiful.

It feels like theirs.

The dorm room checklist is easy to find.

Knowing what you actually need is a different story.

Too much stuff.
Not enough storage.
The wrong size bedding.
Decor that looks great online but doesn’t work in the room.
And a student arriving on move in day with no idea where anything is going to go.

That’s where Modern Dorm & Co. comes in.

We help families create a dorm room that is organized, functional and feels like home from day one.

Let us take the guesswork out of college move in.
