I love to buy pottery as a souvenir for a trip. Today, we drove down to Naples from Ft. Myers to Clay More Studio. I got to meet some terrific potters, got a great tour of the studio, and purchased a pretty cool mug from a guy named Bill.

I have had several customers ask me about making a Grinch mug, and I will be honest. I just don’t like him. So, I made what I think shows his very best feature.

My favorite day of the year!!! I have lots of new items for this year’s show PLUS I will be doing live wheel demos all day! My booth will be right across the bridge closest to the road. Hope to see you all there!

Pottery is a whole lot more than the glamor you see in the movies. Today I am mixing glazes. All the dry materials have to be very carefully measured then mixed and sieved. Some of the materials are hazardous to breathe (but harmless after fired) so I get to wear this awesome head gear!
