The future is looking bright!

This rendering captures the re-imagined ensuite bathroom that will be located between the dressing room and primary bedroom of this Harlem project that is undergoing an intense renovation on all floors. We utilized a nearby closet to expand the foot print.

The best is yet to come with the actual installation. How exciting!!

The kitchen is said to be the heart of the home. A large kitchen with an island, high ceiling, butlers pantry, tons of counter space and storage is the absolute dream. Your reality however, may be a small kitchen. How a kitchen functions is at the heart of the design which makes your small kitchen a dream kitchen. Take a look at a few of the small kitchens we designed. What do they all have in common? Functionality (and style) for the lifestyle of our clients. Here are some things to consider when designing your small kitchen:

- Maximize the storage - squeeze in as many cabinets as you can. Consider going to the ceiling
- Incorporate some glass doors to give a more open feel
- Install floating shelves. Mix in some floating shelves to give the space a bit more open feel. You can use the shelves to add decor, books, art, dinnerware
- Think of smaller appliances, where necessary i.e. range, refrigerator, dishwasher. They all do not have to be small but perhaps one could be small based on your needs.
- If you have the space, install a narrow wine refrigerator.
- install panel ready appliances for a seamless look
- Force the eyes elsewhere i.e. a view or art
- Find a place for everything by building in kitchen necessities i.e. workstation sink, spice and utensil base pull out pantry, waste and recycle pull-outs
- Use the same slab for countertop and backsplash for a seamless look
- Keep the countertop clear of clutter - install over the range microwave or built-in microwave, install appliance garage
- Add style and warmth with a runner/rug, window treatment and decor
- Add the appropriate lighting for task and ambience. The appropriate lighting will also make the space seem larger.
