Well, I haven’t been on FB for a while. Lots of changes. Temporary housing changes: animal living changes: bus route changes, grateful it’s the same school!)
And admittedly I learn new stuff with my critters almost daily.
We lost a chicken today. This time not to a predator, but to something respiratory.
I pulled her out as soon as I saw she wasn’t doing well, but it was definitely too late. Now I’m going to be working with all the other ones to make sure they are OK too. None of them showed signs of anything to my knowledge, but now I’m definitely wondering if there was something I should have seen or heard to indicate the one or others were not doing well.
Good news is there’s an appointment Monday to begin real demo by the plumbers and electricians.
Im so excited I can barely wait!

Any chicken tips and ideas are greatly appreciated…
Currently I have a list of additives for their water I need to try. Garlic water and then apple c***r vinegar.
What else do y’all know?

Photo was found at Wal-mart… how is this cooked?!

Please welcome the new Roo.
He is as beautiful as he is sweet. We got him from Merrick Farmstead LLC on Monday on our way home from a weekend trip to see a nephew’s wedding.
Currently we are running around names for him as he is so pretty.
Please cast your vote or present a new name option for our boy:
Yanky Doodle Dandy
Yanky Doodle Doo
DandyDoo
Pretty Boy is what he came with.
Help us out!
Now presenting the Roo!!!
Today was his first day to be let out with the girls, so he is letting them know his place most definitely, and I think he loves it.
Oh and some pics of our weekend adventure…
Where did we go?
