A great opportunity. Roswell lost a truly special museum, hoping the City will help to bring this jewel back bigger and better
The Roswell Museum invites the community to gather for an informal evening of conversation, creativity and connection at Mix & Mingle: Help Reimagine the Roswell Museum, taking place Thursday, April 16, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Interstellar Lounge inside Stellar Coffee (315 N. Main St., Roswell).
This relaxed, come-and-go event offers a unique opportunity for residents, artists, families and visitors to share their ideas for the future of the museum following the October 2024 flood, which brought more than five feet of water into the building. Despite the impact to the museum and its collections, most of the collection is able to be repaired and the museum is now looking ahead — not just to rebuild, but to reimagine.
Guests will be invited to participate in interactive response boards, casual conversations, and idea-sharing activities designed to gather input on what the community values most — and what people hope to see in a renewed Roswell Museum. The evening will highlight the museum’s broader identity as an art, history and science museum, celebrating its rich collections, programming and legacy.
“This is a moment to think forward,” said Roswell Museum Director Caroline Brooks. “We want to hear from our community — what inspired you before, what matters now, and what the museum can become for future generations.”
The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to drop in, have a refreshment, and take part in shaping the next chapter of the Roswell Museum.
