I keep seeing comments that say “oh where is this, I want to go!” The only way to be here in person is to own a needlepoint business or work for a needlepoint business. The trade shows are to the trade only, and a chance for shops to buy for their stores for the upcoming year! Next time you visit your LNS they will be freshly stocked with fun new designs for you to check out in their stores!

Answering your market questions - how do we get things on the walls??? Answer for us - gorilla putty! It’s such a great product and I swear by it for mounting canvases at home and at trade shows!

A reminder that this show is wholesale, to the trade only, and not open to the general public. Your LNSs will be bringing home a bunch of goodies from this show, so be on the lookout!

A bit more from market! I get a lot of comments saying how strange seeming this layout is for our trade show, but I truly LOVE how this market functions! It’s like a needlepoint mall just for one weekend, with every designer and shop in the industry getting together to shop and share! Reminder that this show is a private, to the trade event and not open to the public. You’ll be able to see what your shops have purchased when they return home with alllllll sorts of new goodies!!

April has been such a busy month, and it’s not even over yet! It’s difficult to find one’s footing in a time of tumultuous current events and the roller coaster ride that is the needlepoint industry right now.

So I have been trying to maintain the habits that keep me grounded and healthy. I’ve been getting regular time with friends and exercise (and happily combining the two with ) I try to remember that caring for my body helps me to keep doing all of the things I want to keep doing with my mind and creativity.

I’m enjoying a lot of adorable moments with the animals. So many animals!

We are working on our new studio space, just planning and shopping until we can get to the other side of market — so more on that soon!

l’ve spent a lot of time painting needlepoint canvases and teaching needlepoint classes this month.

And l’ve squeezed in lots of time for joy and giggles, because one should never take one’s self too seriously!

I’ve always loved visiting old cemeteries when I travel - there’s something peaceful about wandering through those quiet spaces and reading names that have been there for centuries. But one of my very favorites is right here at home in Rutherfordton, NC.

It’s especially beautiful this time of year, when the leaves have turned and everything feels a little extra still. The perfect kind of calm for spooky season. 🍂🕯️
