This week: Scabiosa

➡️ recut stems and stand in clean, fresh water every 2-3 days
➡️ scabiosa is a water polluter so make sure you use flower food and clean vases well
➡️ stand in a cool spot, out of direct sunlight with good air circulation

Vase Life: 6-8 days
Availability: year round, peaks June-October
Colors: pure white, light blue and shades of pink, red & purple

Every Friday I share flower care tips that will help you enjoy flowers in your home for as long as possible!

This week: Celosia

➡️ Re-cut stems and place in clean, fresh water
➡️ Remove all foliage above and below water level and add flower food
➡️ Display out of direct heat, and refresh water daily
➡️ Arrange with sunflowers and Carthamus for a seasonal look

Vase Life: 5-6 days
Availability: May-November, peaks June-November
Colors: Jewel colours of burgundy, cerise pink, red, yellow, orange and green

Flower Friday 💐

Every Friday I share flower care tips that will help you enjoy flowers in your home for as long as possible!

This week: Echinacea

➡️Re-cut stems and place in clean, fresh water.
➡️Remove petals as they fade, the solid centre will last up to three weeks without them.
➡️Flower food is recommended, and vase water should be changed every 2-3 days.
➡️To Dry: Air dry; hang upside down in small bunches tied with elastic bands, in a cool, airy place.
➡️For a cottage garden look arrange with roses, Veronica or scabious.

Vase Life: 7-10 days
Availability: June-September, peaks June-August.
Colors: Pinky/purple with a burnt orange centre
