Announcement:

On the morning of Sunday, June 29th, after a 10 month battle with stomach cancer, Jay passed from this earth and went to his true home.
His family was there by his side for the duration of his hospital stay. He kept his sense of humor and never lost his beautifully spirited self.
He is already incredibly missed.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, July 19th at the Windmill Vineyards.

I think it’s safe to say that I love clocks. I revel in the craftsmanship of the movements and wonder at the beauty of the case and dial work. The hours spent, sometimes more than a century ago, crafting these works of art in dimly lit shops with hand tools makes me feel somewhat insignificant, but honored at the same time. I’m honored to be a part of a clock’s legacy, and therefore the legacy of the craftsmen that built them.
All that pales however, in comparison to the honor I feel from becoming a small part of the clock’s story in a family’s history. I love hearing the stories of Grandma’s cuckoo clock in the kitchen or Dad’s retirement gift. Mom’s treasured mantel clock or Grandpa’s pocket watch. The stories that pass down from generation to generation through these pieces of art tie us to our history, remind us of our loved ones and give us the opportunity to pass those stories along to those who come after us.
I want to thank all of you that have allowed me to become a small part of your family’s story by bringing your clocks back to life. I’m blessed to do what I love, and more so with the wonderful people I meet. I couldn’t do this if it weren’t for all of you!

I don’t usually repair wristwatches, but I made an exception for a friend on this one. It’s a Poljot Stadium from the Soviet Union. Beautiful piece of family history brought back to life!
