La Murrina: Authentic Murano Products for the Present-Day World.

Eltham Collection
Founders Lucy and Michael Vaughan talk us through their design inspiration for the Eltham Collection.

Heritage
From the monogrammed boxes Lucy would admire in her grandmother's house, to the pieces her and Michael came across in their days as antique dealers, each piece contains the nostalgia of an earlier Vaughan memory.

Design
The collection continues Vaughan's longstanding theme of creating products rooted in antiques, but then given a contemporary edge.

Craftsmanship
Similar to previous designs, craftsmanship plays a large role in this collection. From the white decorative line on the Savoy Mirror, to the crackled surface on the Holden Table Lamp, no attention to detail is spared.

Fontainebleau is a beautiful Regence style commode, reproduction of the original ormolu-mounted tulipwood and parquetry commode, designed by the Slodtz brothers and executed by Antoine Gaudreaux. The historic piece of art was designed and created in 1739 for the king’s use in Louis XV’s cabinet à pans at Versailles and it’s now in the Cabinet Des Médailles at the Bibliothèque Nationale.
