Some pieces don't just light a room—they make it feel special.

These cordless bow sconces instantly added warmth and character to both my guest room and nursery, and I love that they didn't require any hardwiring. That's one of my favorite designer tricks: adding lighting where it looks like it was always meant to be.

The warm brass finish, linen shade, and the sweetest little bow detail give them a timeless feel that works with so many decorating styles. They're functional, beautiful, and such an easy way to make a space feel more finished.

If you've ever wished for wall sconces without hiring an electrician, these are definitely worth looking at.

✨ Which space would you hang them in first?

🤍 Nursery
🤍 Reading nook

Some furniture pieces are just workhorses... but every once in a while, you find one that works hard and steals the show.

This Rustic Wood Split Profile Console Table from Decor Steals is exactly that piece.

I love how the chunky wood profile adds warmth and character while the open design leaves plenty of room for baskets and storage.

Whether you're styling an entryway, hallway, or even behind a sofa, it's one of those timeless pieces you'll use for years and restyle every season.

The best part?
It looks like something you'd find in a high-end designer home, but at a fraction of the price.

If this were in your home, where would you put it?

There is something so satisfying about watching a room completely transform. 🤎

This guest room is getting a major refresh with DIY board and batten and a full color drench in a warm linen paint. It's amazing how one change can make a space feel softer, cozier, and so much more inviting.

The reveal is coming soon, and I can't wait to show you how it all comes together!

Would you ever color drench a room, or do you prefer contrasting trim?

Sometimes you've just got to embrace your talents... 😂
✨ 3 things I'm good at: • Decorating • Spending money • Spending money on decorating 🤎

I'd like to think it's all in the name of creating a home that's warm, welcoming, and beautiful... but my husband might have a different opinion. 😅

Tell me I'm not the only one! What's one thing you're way too good at?

One of my favorite designer tricks is repeating a single element throughout a space... and these bronze scalloped planters from Decor Steals have become that piece for this entire deck project. 🤎🌿

As I've transformed each outdoor "room," I've tucked these planters into different spaces—nestled beside the lounge seating, layered into my dining area, and paired with larger planters to add warmth and dimension. Even though each area has its own personality, repeating the same planter creates a sense of flow that makes the entire deck feel intentional.

I also love the contrast the warm bronze finish brings against all the greenery. It's just enough to catch your eye without competing with the plants themselves.

Thank you, , for another timeless piece that works beautifully in so many different settings.

Sometimes it's the smallest details that make the biggest impact, and these have become one of my favorite finishing touches throughout this project.

Do you like repeating the same accessories throughout a space, or do you prefer every area to have its own look?

One room... two purposes. 🤍

This guest room is getting a refresh, but it's also becoming a cozy nursery for when our grandbabies come to visit Papa and Kiki.

I wanted the space to feel timeless, warm, and welcoming—somewhere guests immediately feel at home while still being practical for this sweet season of life.

This week I'm tackling the board and batten using an MDF DIY kit. I was curious to see if a pre-cut kit could make the project faster and easier than starting completely from scratch, so we're about to find out together.

The paint is next, followed by styling everything with vintage-inspired pieces, layered textures, and all the cozy details that make a room feel collected over time.
I'm sharing the process before the big reveal because sometimes the messy middle is just as fun as the finished room.

I have some adorable products from Reclaiming Beautiful and that I will be tying in as well. 😍

Follow along because the transformation is coming soon!

Your front porch is the first "welcome home" your guests experience... so why not make it feel as inviting as the inside of your home? 🤍

I've always believed that a few thoughtfully chosen pieces can completely transform a space, and these Self-Watering Tall Natural Wood Outdoor Planters from DECOR STEALS did exactly that.

I paired them with lush ferns warm brass lanterns and wood bench. (boty also from DS) to create a timeless, layered entry that feels both elegant and welcoming.

The natural wood adds warmth against my darker front door, and the built-in self-watering design means my plants stay looking their best with far less effort. 🌿
It's proof that beautiful design can also be practical.
Would you style these with ferns like I did, or would you fill them with colorful flowers? Let me know in the comments! 👇

Area 3 of 5 | The Fireside Retreat

By now you've probably noticed a pattern…

Every area of this deck is being designed with a different purpose in mind.

Area 1 is where I'd sip my morning coffee or unwind with a good book.

Area 2 is where family and friends gather around the table.
Area 3 is where the day slows down.

This space is centered around the warmth of a fire table, comfortable seating, layered landscaping, and soft lighting that makes you want to linger long after the sun goes down.

One of my favorite parts of designing outdoor spaces is creating experiences—not just selecting furniture. The textures, colors, and materials all work together to make this corner feel inviting in every season.

As much as I love the furnishings, I think the landscaping may become the real showstopper. Rich foliage, layered containers, and natural textures will soften the hardscape and help this space feel tucked away, even though it's part of the larger deck.
We're halfway through the design process now…
Only two more spaces to go before the full vision comes together.

✨ When you're outside in the evening, what's your favorite way to unwind—around a fire, under string lights, or simply enjoying the view?

Some décor pieces never go out of style...and these trays are exactly that.

I've always loved pieces that can move throughout the house and work in every season. These footed trays add beautiful texture while creating an effortless place to style candles, books, greenery, collected treasures, or seasonal décor.

One day they're the centerpiece of your coffee table. The next they're on a dining table, kitchen island, or console. That's the kind of versatility I look for when choosing décor.

If you're trying to build a home that feels collected instead of cluttered, start with pieces that work harder—and these trays do exactly that.

Which size would you use first—the large, medium, or small?
