Guess who is my Dad’s favorite child?!?!

I've planned this since before this past Father's Day. First, I wanted his favorite wood, white oak. So I found this slice from a local vendor. However, it has an additional beauty to it because it is quarter-sawn white oak. White oak is one of the few kinds of wood. You can see the organelles that transfer water throughout the tree. The freckles on the wood are the organelles.

I was going to power carve this design in, but when I did, my Standard wasn't there due to the open-grain wood. (constantly learning) After some setbacks, I decided to laser it on. My Dad told me he's going to hang it next to His bathroom in the shop side of his garage. By his 65 Mustang, he's had for about 27 years and has yet to be painted 🤦🏻.

He told me it was worth the wait.

Two more cutting boards are going out today. One is walnut and maple. The other is cherry, walnut, and bird's eye maple.

All seasoned and ready to be used. But lately people have been only using them for display.
