One of the reasons I created Willow Farm Mercantile is to share my love of beautiful things with others. When I am traveling or exploring an antique shop I can’t help but think of an item’s story - how old is it, who made it, where did it come from & where has it lived until now?

In a world dominated by cheap, mass production, what happens to the human connection behind the things we own or make ourselves?

I came across this trailer for Handmade Future, an incredible award-winning documentary that takes you on a global journey meeting master artisans protecting their heritage. From traditional rug weavers in Morocco to broom makers in Kentucky, this film explores how handcrafted goods do more than just look beautiful—they quietly restore a frayed world through culture and human connection.

Hey there friends! Sooooo I know I haven’t been open or posting much this summer. After last years exciting opening I was ready to ramp it up this year. Unfortunately, my body had other things in mind. I have been having some health struggles that I’m finally getting answers to but in the process I had to take lots of tests, try new medications and treatments. Don’t worry, it’s not the big C, but it has slowed me down. Fortunately, I was able to take the time to focus on my health but it effected my progress with WFM. At the same time I wasn’t able to purchase from India & Morocco like I wanted to due to tariffs & the overall state of the economy. I’m hoping that will work itself out so that I can buy more in the near future.

All that being said I’m back and will be open this weekend! I will be posting more dates for fall and into the holidays soon. And I will be making up for lost time and posting more to my socials 💕
