About the Play: “Best Always” is a study of the famous blonde bombshell in what might be called the limited private moments of her life after she became a star. Her life was eerily lonely and filled with long telephone conversations with friends, doctors and strangers. The rest of her days and nights were filled with the business of making films and appearances. This play was a finalist in the 1988 Virginia Prize for Playwriting.
