Part 3 of 🚩of organizing with ADHD.

So many times clutter is seen as the problem, but it’s actually the side effect of the problem. Clutter is a side effect of overwhelm & burnout.

So how to solve clutter with ADHD? Look at where you’re feeling burnout and overwhelmed. What habits happen at those places. Only once you address these then a plan to help you minimize clutter will actually help you stay consistent with keeping clutter at bay.

Happy 2026! A new year is always a great time to plan for something new and exciting!

I see those with ADHD, just wanting to blend in. Be like everyone else. Organize like everyone else. But it doesn’t work or last. If you’re ready to stop making little plans and find your home to be your best therapist. Let’s chat or keep following.

Start making your home the magical place where your brain feels inspired and calmed. Not made for everyone else but for you.

(Quote from Daniel Burnham, architect of the Chicago world’s fair, first high rise building, and who never thought small)

That post holiday slump taking over? You just want to stay inside and watch your favorite movie or read that book you just got. But you still want to get something done.

No energy to put the holiday decor away, but try one or all of these five low energy decluttering ideas.

1. The obvious trash around you. Wrappers, empty bottles or small pieces of paper, grab a trash bag and pick one small area to pick up.

2. Expired or empty products. Time to go through make up and bathroom products. Toss anything you haven’t used in the past 6 months.

3. Delete 5 Apps you no longer use. (This one you can do without leaving your bed too!) Free up phone space and mental space too.

4. Delete 10 unread emails. Freeing up a little bit of the ever growing number during the holiday break. If you’re feeling extra unsubscribe from 10 too.

5. Clear one surface. Whether it’s your nightstand, bathroom counter or one section of a kitchen counter. Clearing one section of visual clutter will help motivate you when a higher energy day comes along.

Low energy days can feel like you can’t accomplish anything but just break it down to a small and simple task.

And celebrate what you did do, not what you didn’t.
