April’s sticker is Romeo and Juliet!
So when I read this in 8th grade, I was not a fan... but when I played Benvolio in 2016 I fell in love with this show. This show is not really a love story, it’s a rebellion against generations that wouldn’t listen. It’s a rebellion against unfounded hatred. It’s layers upon layers of AWESOME!
I love how funny this show is! I love how poignant, I love the language, and I love how heartbreaking it is. Killing off the comedic relief... oof! Hits ya hard...
Because of how much I love this show, it was actually harder. I have strong images in my head, but they are really show specific rather than play specific. I incorporated things that felt really important... a rapier and dagger (Romeo’s hence the Montague colors), roses, yew, the sun and moon, light and dark, star crossed lovers, Friar Lawrence’s letter still sealed because Romeo never gets it, poison, crests from both the Capulets and Montagues, and a tiny little Queen Mab!

Hey all! After all the debacle with society6, I finally started a bonfire shop!!! I'm really excited about this! This store will exclusively sell apparel and it has the ability for portion of the proceeds to be donated to important causes.

25% of my new design "Drink Tea" will be donated to the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition!

As you may remember I’ve been reworking how I do my patreon. Part of that is committing to 3 posts at least a month. On the 1st, 10th, and 20th cuz that’s how my brain works. I realized I never posted a finished photo of my snowboard… Here it is! It’s up for sale at along with a bunch of other super cool boards. Come to the mountain and check em out!

I had a moment where I thought I should have done something more winter related, but this year of the snake has been incredibly pivotal for me. I needed to paint this one. The shedding of old habits and old ways of thinking while growing into the new is on point. I’ve tried a lot of new things this year. Completely changed my life in an attempt to just see what else is out there. This rattlesnake skeleton is surrounded by morning glories who represent the ephemeral nature of life and death. It hits home for me. I hope yall enjoy it too.
